I push this because few people would consider the context of her decision. Making the decision in the Philippines is much different than in the United States. We should applaud her for making the decision to risk her life and have her child. But we should also recognize that she had no other legal choice in the Philipinnes.

Yes, I think she wants to claim that she refused the doctors request that she have an abortion, but did not realize that the doctors in the Philippines would not suggest abortion since it was and remains illegal.

She did not make a choice, she followed Philippine law. Abortion is and has been illegal in the Philippines even if the mother's life is in danger. Both she and her doctor would have been arrested. Is that a choice?

The commercial was hyped as an anti-abortion ad. It wasn't. The criticism was for the hype not the add that actually ran. Identify the people behind the hype and you will have your guilty party.

If NOW was honest and upfront they would support this womans right to choose life. It isn't about a womans right to choose life it is about erasing a human life for convience sake. I wonder how many great people have been murdered and not allowed to come into this world because it is a womans right. Maybe one of the murdered babies was going to grow up and have the cure for aids but because of a womans right this will never happen.

If this commercial was the exact opposite, and showed a woman who had an abortion and it made her a happier person, would that be okay too? You fking hypocrites. Nothing was bad about the ad itself, you just have to wonder why Focus on the Family made and aired this ad during the Superbowl.
