This is a POWER GRAB. It's not about the health of the Planet. Even IF Co2 caused global warming, Which is DOES NOT, This will only shift where the Co2 is emitted to China & India. They're not going to stop. They'll do MORE because we are not ALLOWED to. Great for Them! They must be loving this!!

Global Warming is a sham. When you can tell me how global warming turned the Sahara from a lush, green paradise into the desolate desert, it is now, then I will buy into global warming. There weren't any cars or factories to cause this!

Nancy - And how are we risking our planet's health? If you are referring to the theory that CO2 emissions into the atmosphere cause climate change, that myth has has scientifically proven false. This is according to a senior research analyst at the EPA. His study was blocked from being published by the BHO Administration and the EPA. Google it and get educated.

Vet, who "scientifically proved" that CO2 emission can't cause climate change? Certainly not the "senior research analyst" at EPA, who is an economist with no background in climate change at all (or in science, for that matter). His paper did nothing but recycle a series of old, long-discredited myths.

I just built a house in a county that had "energy requirements". I'll never recoup the money I spent just to save a few hundred dollars a year.
I'd like to see our congressmen and senators have to make the same upgrades to their mansions before they get to sell them -- you can bet they'll find a way out of it!

How much will you add to the price of building the property to qualify? That money will also be added onto your mortgage with interest, so the $500.00 year savings probably won't pay for itself.

Oh, right. We'll save $500 with these new standards. But wait. With these new standards, we'll also be paying anywhere from $1200 to $1800. So net savings will still be minus $700 to minus $1300. And that's not taking into account what it will cost to install these price saving standards.
By my arithmetic, we're still screwed.

You're forgetting about the Cap and Trade tax on energy. It'll more than wipe out any 500.00 "savings".
