I resent the government being involved in my personal life in anyway. I weatherize my home because it is to my benefit to do so, just as i wear a seatbelt or a helmet for the same reason. But as a middle aged man, I do resent the government compeling me to do so. Why is it that a sixteen year old girl can go get an abortion without even telling her parents but I can't even make up my own mind regarding seatbelts or helmets? Doesn't the constitution protect my right to choose the same as it does hers?

Warming enthusiasts like to say the science is In. The debate is over. Yet they cannot do more than say what the UN models show. It was once thought the universe always existed. No beginning and no end. But scientific evidence proved that wrong. Right now the warming people haven't provided any evidence their theory is correct. But they act like a computer model is the proof. They have a fifty fifty chance of being right, that's all they have. So if you are a gambler, place your future and your child's future on their "confident" projections or demand proof to protect your family from being robbed and pillaged based on a report from the UN, an entity that couldn't run oil for food without being robbed blind by people within their own agency.

Physicists are always challenging themselves in their theories. Even the Big Bang is questioned now as more and more evidence....only the left's preferred climatologists who are infallible. It's a joke and the joke is on us if we fall this. I'm all for renewable, green energy as I'd bet you are too...but I don't want high energy costs shoved down my throat based on half baked science.

I'm sorry, Greg, but this simply isn't true. You're basically saying, "There's no evidence other than the computer models", and that's just wrong. I culd go into more detail, but I don't think anything is going to change your mind on this subject no matter how much evidence and logic there is.

Sam, I'm not a scientist, nor do I claim to be an expert. I do have a very strong background in both science and math, and I've spent years reading everything I could find from BOTH sides on climate, including books, magazines, blogs, even quite a few original research papers from science journals. I've had extended email conversations with NASA and other scientists on points that I had trouble with. The scientists' point of view I find to be FAR more reasonable and FAR more convincing than the "skeptics'" . May I ask what you've done?

I could got into far more detail as to why this is not a closed case. Is the Big Bang theory a closed case? No...and neither is this and I'm quoting scientists not 'flat earthers'. Regardless of all your blather in this thread...not all scientists agree with you and ranks of those questioning the carbon theory are growing...not shrinking.

The EPA report that was supposedly "suppressed" was written by a guy who not only wasn't part of the working group for that finding, he's not even a scientist. He's an economist, and he had no business whatever writing a scientific report. A report from the EPA's groundskeeper would be just as relevant. As for the mainstream media, I don't know who's not "allowing" dissent to be aired. In any event, debate and dissent on scientific matters occurs in peer-reviewed science journals, not on CBS. And that's exactly where it's been going on, for decades.

If your position is so defensible, why is it no opposing scientific views are allowed to be aired, by the EPA or the mainstream media? It tells me that opposing views are taboo. That causes great concern. I have seen all too often that liberals like Pelosi have gone off with some costly outrageous ideas with no conception of the consequences. That concerns me. Concern about one-sided arguments is legitimate. Facts. We want to hear facts, not that the debate is over. IT is not over.

He didn't call the host silly; he said that the claim was silly. And the host quoted from the bill AFTER that. The "silly" remark was in response to the initial claim, not to the quote. If you're going to have a guest, let him speak. Otherwise, why bother?
