In there you'll see that the precedent that was overturned ruled that while American citizens are guaranteed the "right to free speech" that the constitution never mentioned "private corporations." These corporations formerly needed to utilize a "political action committee" which has certain rules and regulations for how and where unlimited corporate money could be spent to influence elections. Note, there are NO LIMITS to the amount of money a corporation, foreign-owned or domestic, could spend via a political action committee. The point was, the "PAC" was bound by certain regulations meant to create a level playing field and make sure giant, multi-national companies wouldn't use their unlimited assets with no over-sight. The 5-4 Supreme Court vote ruled that the PAC oversight disenfranchised private corporations, depriving them of their 1st amendment rights. Which for the last 100 years, the Supreme Court believed applied only to private citizens. Which is does.
