God's Word doesn't miss. The prophecy of Daniel 7 is a clear picture of Great Britain, the United States, Russia, Germany, and the ten-nation union---the world powers which the Bible predicts will exist at the time of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. The correlation of this prophecy to actual current events is too intricate and complex to be accidental or coincidental. In his divine providence Almighty God, more than 2,500 years ago, foretold that the nations of Great Britain, The United States, Russia, Germany, and the ten-horned kingdom would be the nations in existence on the earth when Christ returns! Every event predicted so far has come to pass exactly as God said that it would. To see, with our own eyes, the nations predicted in the Bible living together simultaneously is an incredible prophetic fulfillment!

Hail, Sovereign Love
Words by Jehoida Brewer
Hail, sovereign love that first began,
The scheme to rescue fallen man;
Hail matchless free eternal grace,
That gave my soul a hiding place.
Against the God who rules the sky,
I fought with hand uplifted high,
Despised His rich abounding grace,
Too proud to seek a hiding place.
Enwrapped in thick Egyptian night,
And fond of darkness more than light,
Madly I ran the sinful race,
Secure without a hiding place.
But thus th’ eternal counsel ran,
“Almighty Love, arrest that man!”
I felt the arrows of distress,
And found I had no hiding place.
Indignant justice stood in view,
To Sinai’s fiery mount I flew,
But Justice cried with frowning face,
“This mountain is no hiding place!”
Ere long a heavenly voice I heard,
And Mercy’s angel form appeared.
Who led me on with gentle pace,
To Jesus Christ, my hiding place.
On Him Almighty vengeance fell,
That must have sunk a world to hell;
He bore it for a chosen race,
And thus became their hiding place.
Should storms of thundering vengeance roll,
And shake the earth from pole to pole;
No flaming bolt shall daunt my face,
For Jesus is my hiding place.
A few more rolling suns at most,
Will land me safe on Heaven’s coast.
There I shall sing the song of grace,
To Jesus Christ, my hiding place!

God created the earth, the heavens and every living creature within. He created all Human life to His image and likeness. God will judge every soul on earth on the last day, and your soul will end up in Heaven with the Father or in hell period. There is no middle of the road, and it does not matter what religion you practice.

The Truth

Atheist Antony Flew has said that the "onus of proof must lie upon the theist."1 Unless compelling reasons for God’s existence can be given, there is the "presumption of atheism." Another atheist, Michael Scriven, considers the lack of evidence for God’s existence and the lack of evidence for Santa Claus on the same level.2 However, the presumption of atheism actually turns out to be presumptuousness. The Christian must remember that the atheist also shares the burden of proof, which I will attempt to demonstrate below.
First, even if the theist could not muster good arguments for God’s existence, atheism still would not be shown to be true.3 The outspoken atheist Kai Nielsen recognizes this: "To show that an argument is invalid or unsound is not to show that the conclusion of the argument is false.... All the proofs of God’s existence may fail, but it still may be the case that God exists."4
Second, the "presumption of atheism" demonstrates a rigging of the rules of philosophical debate in order to play into the hands of the atheist, who himself makes a truth claim. Alvin Plantinga correctly argues that the atheist does not treat the statements "God exists" and "God does not exist" in the same manner.5 The atheist assumes that if one has no evidence for God’s existence, then one is obligated to believe that God does not exist — whether or not one has evidence against God’s existence. What the atheist fails to see is that atheism is just as much a claim to know something ("God does not exist") as theism ("God exists"). Therefore, the atheist’s denial of God’s existence needs just as much substantiation as does the theist’s claim; the atheist must give plausible reasons for rejecting God’s existence.
Third, in the absence of evidence for God’s existence, agnosticism, not atheism, is the logical presumption. Even if arguments for God’s existence do not persuade, atheism should not be presumed because atheism is not neutral; pure agnosticism is. Atheism is justified only if there is sufficient evidence against God’s existence.
Fourth, to place belief in Santa Claus or mermaids and belief in God on the same level is mistaken. The issue is not that we have no good evidence for these mythical entities; rather, we have strong evidence that they do not exist. Absence of evidence is not at all the same as evidence of absence, which some atheists fail to see.
Moreover, the theist can muster credible reasons for belief in God. For example, one can argue that the contingency of the universe — in light of Big Bang cosmology, the expanding universe, and the second law of thermodynamics (which implies that the universe has been "wound up" and will eventually die a heat death) — demonstrates that the cosmos has not always been here. It could not have popped into existence uncaused, out of absolutely nothing, because we know that whatever begins to exist has a cause. A powerful First Cause like the God of theism plausibly answers the question of the universe’s origin. Also, the fine-tunedness of the universe — with complexly balanced conditions that seem tailored for life — points to the existence of an intelligent Designer.
The existence of objective morality provides further evidence for belief in God. If widow-burning or genocide is really wrong and not just cultural, then it is difficult to account for this universally binding morality, with its sense of "oughtness," on strictly naturalistic terms. (Most people can be convinced that the difference between Adolf Hitler and Mother Teresa is not simply cultural.) These and other reasons demonstrate that the believer is being quite rational — not presumptuous — in embracing belief in God.

What most people don't understand is that many "scientific truths" require just as much faith as religious beliefs. There are countless assumptions being made by atheists and agnostics when they talk about facts of the universe's existence, and these assumptions are hardly any different from the idea of believing words written two thousand years ago about a prophet and the miracles he performed. I recently read a book, The Ultimate Gamble published by Access Originals (www.accessoriginals.com/gamble), that does a great job of explaining the differences between the major religions and the popular "scientific" beliefs (like atheism) and it really makes you think about the eternal implications of making a choice to reject God.

You are wrong there are know scientific beliefs that require any faith. Atheists have been attacking Christians for a long time. Science, when they think that the earth was started with the"big bang" is just something that people make up because they do not want to hear the truth. You should watch what you read so to be careful that it doesn't mess with your mind. We all know where people go who reject God.

I think Newsweeks attempt to discredit Christianity in America is the epitome of how desperate our biased media has become. How sad that they have to grovel at this level to try and persuade Americans that Christianity is on the decline. Clearly, this forum as well as the unprecedented numbers of those attending churches currently in this country is in direct opposition of their cover and corresponding article. Not to mention their struggling subscription numbers. Liberal and biased newspapers are dropping like flys in this country while churches are being built at a record rate! Keep the faith America and as my dearly departed and extremely brilliant father used to say, "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you read"!

Atheists (and theists) have been thinking about that since at least, the 16th century-- You are referring to Pascal's Wager, one of the earliest discussions of probability theory. The downside of the argument is that it can be made, not just for the Christian God, but all other gods as well, including the devil. Given the number of alternate gods, and their popularity, probability suggests that the Christian god is not the safest bet.

As a born again christian, I believe, we are heading toward a one world government under Obama, which is according to the Bible, because according to the Bible, for the Lord to complete his plan of redeemption, this has to happen, before He can return for his own (saints). What a glorious day that will be, when all of the people that believed on Him for Salvation, (from all churches and affiliations) will be caught up to be in heaven with Him. I look forward to that time.

This country needs a revival about now! If we've not already done so -- we will need to turn this country back over to the Lord! We've gotten so far from our base roots that our forefathers HAVE to be spinning in their graves! Remember the biblical story of Sodom & Gomorrah?? God will have to surely apologize to those people - because our country is no different! So, where does that leave us? We must trust the Lord God and do something to help ourselves get out of this mess!! If you're reading this and you do not know Christ as your Savior -- turn your life over to Him. He is the only way!

A miracle to one is not a miracle to another....what is a Godincidence to one is not to another. When God shows me a cross in the skies it is a Promise that God is watching out for His own. When I get stuck in the driveway and then can pull right out 5 minutes later...is that God's prevention from the accident up the road? When your child gets heaved off a horse surely to sustain death or paralysis & walks away with a concussion, is that a miracle? When my spouse is detained for five minutes because of my tirade in the morning and he avoids the accident down the road, is that God's intervening and keeping us out of harm's way? Why do we look for miracles when we are surrounded by God always? Miracles are happening around us every day, but we choose to see them or to ignore them. I thank God everyday for answering my prayers and providing miracles to people I know and for complete strangers who do not even know I am praying for a miracle for them. We must give God credit where credit is due. He is constantly performing miracles every day. We just have to see & believe.

I came to Christ soon after 911 like so many people from around the world. That day was a day of truly dropping to my knees and begging God for forgiveness. I have studied the bible since then, and today, I truly understand the absolute meaning of loving mankind with such great passion as to die a terrible death for our freedom. Each one of us will have our moment where God will call to us and He will continue to reach out until we answer His plea to come to Him. For some, it may be on our death bed, for others it may come during crisis, yet others will hear the call young & respond immediately. I believe God loves each of us and does not want to lose any of His sheep, He will come searching for us until we are found & reunited with Him. We are here not to condemn the world but to help God save us all through love & compassion. Every heart can be changed if we love as God loves, but also, recognize the force of evil upon our world and do not get interwined within it. Stay strong through prayer & scripture so we do not despair & lose hope in these evil times. "Amen, I say to you, stay awake."

We've allowed one or two voices to take prayer out of schools for example....we have sat back and watched Obama dismantle many years of Moral issues by one stroke of his pen. The true question is....is this about the government or is this about the people? The old testament speaks multiple times of people going against their government to uphold God and His ways. Everything that is happening is being directed by God. It is His Devine plan. Sometimes, blinded by confusion and misguided belief, we can not see His plan. The verse above is sometimes confusing but this is the way I believe we are to abide by Romans 13:1 and fill our needs as Christians.
We must take a look at Jesus and how he lived and what He taught. He handled injustice with dignity and honor. Jesus went to the Cross not as a meek Lamb but ready to die for us. When Peter cut the ear off of the guard. Jesus heeled it. Remember even after seeing this the guards still lead Him to be killed.
All the while he spoke out against injustice, but he never raised his hand. Although some believe that Jesus advocated civil unrest and sought to have the Jews rise up in revolt. The truth is He taught just the opposite. I saw a program last night that stated Jesus spoke out against the Government and paying Taxes. Those of us that read the Bible realize that this is totally false. When ask about paying taxes Jesus said, “Whose money do you use? ‘Pay unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and pay unto God what is God’s’”.
As Christians we should never raise our hand in anger, but we must raise our voices to be heard. We must try to change people’s hearts and speak the truth, but we must never act nor speak in anger.
God's plan will unfold as He has planned it and the governments he has chosen will be in power and be dismantled as is God's Will. We must not be afraid to be heard and we must speak out. We must also be willing to be unpopular and loose our standing in the World
.

I suggest that we send Obama all the many verses of scripture in which Jesus' reminds us of how terrible abortion is: B. Hussein Obama seems to keep getting stuck on the verses about helping the sick, the poor, and showing peace, love and mercy to your enemy, which is strange, since Jesus didn't care much about these things at all.

Your problem is the misunderstanding that the Bible is FROM MEN, it's not, it was written by INSPIRED MEN BUT FROM an eternal GOD, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe.

Yes of course we know that people can repent of their sins. But in the end evil is evil and good and good, and when it comes since we are living in the end days people will have to choose to do right or wrong. You are also taking what I said out of context in the bible days when someone comminted a crime they were punished right then and there if you killed a baby then that person would be put to death. And yes I have read the Bible. When someone commits a crime they should do the time, but we hope they repent before it is too late, but if they don't then they will be judged accordingly by God.

Actually the word religion means "binding back, or binding anew"
Religion is man's means of having fellowship with God, as was in the beginning with Adam & Eve.
To have fellowship with God, we MUST rely on the way that God requires in order for us to have that desired fellowship. This is why SOME religions are false, because they do not follow the authority of God for the "binding back"
Jesus is the means (mediator; 1 Tim.2:5) between man and God. See also John 14:6; I am THE way (one way, only), not Joseph Smith, Muhammad, the pople or any other man
