During the U.S. Presidential primaries last year, I had expressed my misgivings that Barack Obama might turn out to be another Jimmy Carter, whose confused thinking and soft image paved the way for the success of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Its funny, everywhere the Democrats are in total control of the state the municipality is in total chaos. Out of control spending and a government fucused on higher taxation rather than conrolled restrained spending. It's also funny that when a household runs out of money everything gets cut back but not government. Fact, how many times in your life has someone told a story of their life to you and stated that government was a big part of their success. I venture a guess.......NEVER !!

I remember much cheaper gas, unemployment at less than 5%. AHH the good ole Bush days. Can Obama turn it around, is he drilling for more oil? Obama makes Carter look great and Carter was a disaster. Obama scares me. Not just fiscally, but socially as well. He's shredding the constitution. I only hope we can survive the next three and a half years. Our next president really will have his work cut out for him just reversing the damage Obama has done.

Having lived through and survived the debacle of Carter's joke of an administration, I am just sitting back, waiting for 2010, when Obama loses his Democratic majority in the house and the senate. He will then be stonewalled into oblivion by the upstart Republican/Independents who will shoot down all of his socialist agenda rendering him useless for the remainder of his term. jam, I agree with most of your statement butI disagree with you that Carter was a nice man. Actually, he is a snake. One example is how he tore apart G. Bush at Coretta Scott King's funeral with Bush sitting behind him. He says he is a Christian, and I'm not judging him on this matter, but so far actions speak of something different. (He also doesn't support the Jews and the Bible says that those that don't are cursed).
