Republicans Surge in New ABC/WaPo Poll

The President says he's trying to reach across the aisle but the Republicans are not reaching back.

And in the latest ABC News poll we may see the reason -- Republicans are in a dramatically improved position for the midterm elections, and are competitive with Democrats and President Obama on whom the public trusts to handle key issues.

Mr. Carlo, when you say that health care is a "right" I would like you to closely consider and analyze what it is you are saying. A "right" is something that is provided to you by "natural law" or "god given" as some like to say. It is something that comes from within and you do for yourself. The right to self defense, the right to free speech, the right to worship or not worship. Note that the rights you have, you are allowed to practice as long you do not impede on another human beings rights.
When you say health care is a "right." You are saying that you have the right to make a doctor, nurse or any other healthcare professional your slave. You are saying that since it is your "right" to compel and demand them to provide their services to you. Just as the slave owners thought it was their "right" to have slaves pick their crops. So what "right" do you have when there no doctors around? You can still speak, you can still worship, you can still defend yourself. Good luck trying to perform that heart surgery on yourself.
Please be careful on what you declare to be your "right." You have no right to compel another human being to be your slave.

Marco Rubio Money Bomb Today!
Marco Rubio is a great conservative American who makes my heart proud when I hear him speak about our country, what it means to him and what he sees wrong with our government today. Marco understands socialism and communism as his parents are Cuban exiles. Marco understands the threat that our US Constitution and country face today. Please donate to this great campaign. He is asking for donations today in increments of the $787 Billion "stimulus" package, $7.87, $78.70 or whatever you can donate. If you have not heard him speak here are some links you can use. Thank you in advance for whatever you can do for him!

It looks like here in Missouri we won't have much of a choice for the Senatorial race. Too bad there isn't a really good independent party in this country.

Haha. Republicans aren't doing the "happy dance" becuase of getting their way. It would be them, independants, and several dems making the point that we're not letting obama and the rest of the far left dems take control of everything like he's been trying to do.... Such as raising the national debt so high, it's about to completely bankrupt our country. People can blame it on Bush as much as they want to, but obama's the one who wanted to take it on to begin with. When he got what he wanted last year, he now realizes he's in over his head and no longer the media's darling child, so blame it on everyone else. It's gonna be great to see Harry Reid and Nancy Palosi get voted out in November :-)
