Obama: ‘She Insisted She's Going to be Buried in an Obama T-Shirt’
Yes, those are the words of the president, last night at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Washington. After listing his administration's accomplishments and vowing that "our most urgent task is job creation," Obama pledged to keep fighting for a national health care system. "We knew this was hard," Obama said. And then he described a letter he received from a campaign worker who suffered from breast cancer and has since died:
I got a letter -- I got a note today from one of my staff -- they forwarded it to me -- from a woman in St. Louis who had been part of our campaign, very active, who had passed away from breast cancer. She didn't have insurance. She couldn't afford it, so she had put off having the kind of exams that she needed. And she had fought a tough battle for four years. All through the campaign she was fighting it, but finally she succumbed to it. And she insisted she's going to be buried in an Obama t-shirt.
Many observers have noted that the president often seems extraordinarily self-referential. It's all about him, they say. But even those critics might be a little taken aback by the "buried in an Obama t-shirt" remark. Is it really that much about him?

This whole story is BS! Obama is talking about a Moveon.org pawn named Melanie Shouse from St. Louis WHO HAD INSURANCE! Her complaint was that her deductible was TOO HIGH! So Obama uses her as a prop in his scheme. It's sad that she could be used so badly. But, this administration's actions are contemptible. But that's what MoveOn is for - to BE USED!

No one is refused healthcare in America. My Mom had breast cancer and no private insurance so she received all the healthcare she needed under Medicaid. Obama's healthcare wants to insure 30 million people. That is the same population of Canada which has 65,000 doctors. So if Obamacare is passed we will immediately have a 65,000 doctor shortage. If this story is true, which I doubt, the poor woman was deluded and what is worse, she was more than foolish not to get breast exams. They don't cost that much. The facility will even make arrangements for monthly payments.

He isn't a lame duck in 2010. He isn't running in 2010. A lame duck is someone who is coming to the end of their tenure or has been voted out but is still within the limits of his term. I don't know what you mean by him being a lame duck in 2010, but it is not the right usage of the word.
As an aside, Obama is the most egotistical person I have every seen. We need to relize that as far as he is concerned it is all about him. I am glad the Fox News has someone counting all the "I"s in his speeches now. It is funny to me to read about them, but I am to a point where I don't know whether to laugh, cry or be scared out of my wits.
