Obama: Photograph Me With Chavez but Not With F-22
When President Obama spoke to troops at Alaska's Elmendorf Air Force Base last month, the unit there parked a shiny new F-22 fighter plane in the hanger. But according to multiple sources, White House aides demanded the plane be changed to an older F-15 fighter because they didn't want Obama speaking in front of the F-22, a controversial program he fought hard to end.
"White House aides actually made them remove the F-22-said they would not allow POTUS to be pictured with the F-22 in any way, shape, or form," one source close to the unit relayed.
Stephen Lee, a public affairs officer at Elmendorf, confirmed to The Cable that the F-22 was parked in the hanger and then was replaced by an F-15 at the White House's behest.

do you know anything about planes?.. do you know anything about how expensive they are to make or use?.. do you know which planes we have been using since the beginning of the war?.. trust me.... don't get me wrong the f-22 is a remarkable plane but current'y we don't need it and we aren't really using it due to cost. we are in an economic crisis and if the military isn't using them in air strikes there is no point making numerous amounts to sit...

No, we are not using them in air strikes because they are a new plane that is still in a test phase. They have not yet been released for combat duties.
P.S. - Do you really think that the Pentagon gives a hoot about how much a plane costs to fly?
