WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama is getting used to leaving events before they end - even when he doesn't have to.
Obama on Monday mistakenly left a White House ceremony honoring two activists' work in Zimbabwe. After finishing his remarks in the East Room, he walked with first lady Michelle Obama into the grand hallway across the main floor of the Executive Mansion.

My personal hope for dealing with the tragic Obama and congress has been to hope all of the crazy additional spending being talked about would be delayed until we got much closer to the 2010 elections. Then if we can change the composition of congress to keep the democrats from being veto proof and thrart all of the new legislation until 2012 and replace Obama then. I have always been a R, first voting for Goldwater in the mid 60's. I am now an independent conservative and find all members of congress equally disgusting. But when I am forced to lean, I lean toward the R because I am not aware of any R's with Marxist leanings or proponents of cap and trade, card check and the current health care bill. I have recently become convinced that we need to do more than simply recycling candidates in a corrupt system. We need to change the system. This organization: Freedoms Voice has a petition to recall the president and members of congress. Regardless of whether there is a realistic chance of succeeding, we need to convey a message to the president and congress. They are blatantly ignoring us and the majority of all opinion polls. They don't think they work for us and we have let this reach that position because we have been too docile and sheep. I encourage each of you to read the petition and to sign it if you want to try to wake up Washington.
