Unemployment Now Higher in U.S. Than Europe

For many on the left, the lament for years has been: Why can't America be more like Europe? Why can't the American lifestyle be more like the European lifestyle? Why can't our food be more like Europe's? Why can't rustic Americans be more like sophisticated Europeans? The sentiment has resurfaced in recent months as the health-care debate has raged on -- why can't the American health-care system be more like Europe's

I as a prospective employer fearthe taxes to come and will not make a decision until I see how the stimulus and Obamacare will be paid for. No wonder the US unemployment rate is lower than the EEC, the EEC caounts all people not working but able, the US only count the ones searching for jobs the week the poll is taken, thus the report is much worse that first presented. The left media doesn''t present the facts or usually prefer to make up their own facts, Rather, Cook, Blair and many others not caught.

Well gosh - of course they are - they're ahead of us on the road to socialism. Or was it their prudence to NOT throw billions of euros at wasteful "recovery" projects and bailouts?

I think Main Street has been the victim of many anti-American administrations. Obama wants to spread the wealth to every Global citizen and business, but not the Global citizens that are American. No jobs for you America, no business, no prosperity. Just keep pumping up the balloon of debt.

All it will take is intelligent votes to change all of these sad headlines and stories! If you believe in the American Dream you can not believe in the agenda of this administration! Wake the sleepers, once they understand how much his plans will cost them in monies and freedom, Barry won't stand a chance! Bang the pans and wake 'em up...

So in response to 10.2% unemployment, all the dems can do is keep trying to cram the increased taxes and costs of socialized medical care on us. Of course we still have to pay for the failed stimulus bill, then there's the cap & tax expense they want to push on us. We're in deep, deep trouble.

So we are to assume your solution is to lower taxes? Your party already had their spending spree under W. and didn't pay for any of it. Remember PAYGO?

I don't claim either party. But we can't spend our way out of a recession with $787 Billion in earmark projects that don't create jobs. I didn't like Bush's TARP legislation, either. But at least he wasn't a socialist.

THE TOMB

This site is interesting in how it posts comments. Anything with factual information like U.S. ranking 27th amoung industrial nations with 30% of U.S. population living below federal poverty level. Any mention of potential of U.S. to fall into 3rd World Economy Status. Non-existent or potential jobs that can provide a hope for the future being non-existant not existing. Government and Private Sector proposing past solutions that do not apply to current situation because our brightest and best have no idea how to solve the problem of Jobs. These never get posted. I have resorted to using Word to save and resubmit them time after time and they never show. Oh, well I guess you have to be optimistic like Obama or vitriolic like the liberal left-wingers and mix in a few osscenities to get discussed.
