Obama Judicial Nominee: Jesus, No, But Yes to Allah
Senate Democrats are proving once again that no judicial nominee is too extreme for them to stomach. A move seems to be afoot to open debate on the Senate floor this week on the nomination of David Hamilton of Indiana to the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. This judge is a radical's radical.
Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, the ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee, sent a letter on Friday to his fellow senators outlining his objections to Mr. Hamilton, who is a federal district judge. The senator first objected to Judge Hamilton's stated belief that judges should effectively amend the Constitution - "writing footnotes to the Constitution," the judge called it - through evolving case law. Second, Judge Hamilton has publicly and specifically embraced the president's "empathy standard," which even Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor has now openly rejected.

@ Woody Additionally he concludes that there is no endorsement of a specific religion when referencing the name of Allah; furthermore the Judge decides that all of the linguistic and cultural terms of deity are aliases for Allah. My reasonable conclusion is that the courts have ruled that Jesus is not God; and the Court ruled that my God is the same God that is worshipped by the beheading of innocents and the torture of women and children and the celebration of enslavement. How is it any human Court’s responsibility to dictate the terms of my religion and my thought and perception there of? This is tyranny and every ruling whether pro or con a bastardized debasement of the protections I have preserved for myself in the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution is and has been under attack and cunningly has been amended by Law to promote the scurrilous worship of Human Secularism. This must be addressed by Law and Judicial proceedings.

Of course, the editorial here and the conservative machine that is selling it is generating the reaction they want. But, as usual, the claim is false. Hamilton ruled that no sectarian prayers (one that appeals to any single religion exclusively) are allowed to open Indiana Legislature. While the ruling does say that prayers should not mention Christ, it says, in full: "If the Speaker chooses to continue any form of legislative prayer, he shall advise persons offering such a prayer (a) that it must be nonsectarian and must not be used to proselytize or advance any one faith or belief or to disparage any other faith or belief, and (b) that they should refrain from using Christ’s name or title or any other denominational appeal."

That includes all religions, not just Christianity. So, more accurately the headline should read, "Jesus, non, but also no to Allah." Maybe you all should look something up for once in your lives. Freakin' learn something and stop jumping at the fodder this web site feeds you.

Or did you not actually look it up, you're just quoting something else from someone who said they read it somewhere written by someone who supposedly looked it up so that it must be true like you're accusing the rest of us of doing? I mean, you do have a point, just because FOX (or CNN, or MSNBC, or BBC, ect...) says it so doesn't make it so, but just because you say it ain't so, just doesn't mean it ain't so, either.

Does anyone get that obama only signed onto Wright’s church to further his political ambitions in Chicago? He may have been pals with Wright outside of church but I do believe he only attended when it suited his needs. The judicial decision being referenced is similar to the scores of reviews through out the country that have been secured by atheists, progressives and separatists. Rulings by activist (Liberal) Judicial servants have determined that “Jesus is not God.” We still have to constitutionally acknowledge ‘God’ until the satan spawn manage to debase Law to the point of invalidation of formative history. I am still disturbed by edicts proscribing the presence of ‘The Ten Commandments’ (which would imply Judaism) in my Statehouse. Hopefully the impeached ‘villain’ will be my Governor. I pray to God we will salvage our lives and liberty before belligerency ensues, in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.

According to the encarta dictionary, Allah is Gods name in Islam, just like Jehovah or YAHWEH is His name in Judaism and Jesus Christ is His name in Christianity. So you tell me. But like I say, Christianity is the only religion it's PC to hate and mock. Doesn't that make you wonder why?

You're right I would not allow Allah, God, or Dios....any reference to god. But the judge's ruling, if you read the decision like I did, is that references to "Jesus" is sectarian while a reference to "God/Allah" is not. So there.
