Funny thing in Kansas.
Dennis Moore, Democrat from the 3rd District of Kansas refused to do a public Town Hall meeting. He said he was affraid for his safety.
We did stage a protest outside one of his local offices on Aug 22 that was a lot of fun and a great turnout. Sadly there were no arrests and no upside down burning police cruisers.
A few liberals caught wind of the event and showed up to voice their support for socialized medicine. But they forgot their American flags. When we politely reminded them, they found someone in their ranks that knew someone who knew someone who had a flag. So after a couple of hours they did eventually have a U.S. flag.
He, Democrat Dennis Moore, did have an "invitation only town hall" with his supporters at a local Community College. The Moore Staff would not allow local reporters inside the closed door event.
A popular local Radio Station invited Dennis Moore to be a guest but were repeatedly turned down. However, when Mr. Moore was up for re-election he had no problem coming on that show and acting like they were long lost buddies.
I'm ready for some of that change everybody is talking about.

I went to the tea party express in New Lenox IL today and there were an estimated 10,000 people at the event. The highest number of participants so far. Traffic on Interstate 80 was backed up. Opposition to this fraud of a president and his band of unconstitutional czars was strong. Way to go Illinois!

Navy Vet..my brother just got back from the Tea Party in the Chicago area. He said there were thousands of folks there, and he didn't see any local news affiliate trucks/cameras in sight. Oh wait, they must be all at the immigration (er. illegal immigration rally) on Michigan Avenue!

If you heard that that adviser, Van Jones, had apologized for a number of remarks and positions in the recent past, your response would be, "What?" And if you were in the Obama White House monitoring the Jones situation, you would be hoping that the news organizations listed above continue to hold the line -- otherwise, Jones, who is quite well thought of in Obama circles, would be history.

Patti, stated that we should not wait till 2010, she is right, we have elections in November, I will not vote for any Democrat, in order to send a loud message to Washington, DC. and any politican even thinking of voting for Obamacare no matter how it is pkg. should be voted out. These politicans are arrogant. In Conn.Democratic State Rep. only in office a year or so, was playing "solitaire" instead of listening to the speaker discuss the states budget, "taxpayer computer, taxpayer time, and when her picture appeared on the front page of the newspaper, she became defiant when asked to apologize. It shows you that it only takes one election for them to think that they are not accountable. She is from Milford Conn. lost my support.

I know that many people question whether Pres.Obama was born in this country, I am sure hundreds of other babies were born that year in Hawaii, is Obama the only one having a problem with his birth certificate. This is not a Communist country, (yet). Obama needs to stay away from our children. He associates and gets advice from a group of corrupt, radical, Marxis people who spew out racist and damaging retoric to the likes we have ever heard. He is “not” a good role model for our children. This (usurper) president has shown the American people what type of person he really is. His marxist policies take away our freedoms, jobs, and our wealth while smothering our children with a lifetime of debt. He is purposely destroying our beloved country.

In an earlier post, I noted the liberal record of unmitigated legislative disasters, the latest of which is now being played out in the financial markets before our eyes. Before the 1994 Republican takeover, Democrats had sixty years of virtually unbroken power in Congress - with substantial majorities most of the time. Can a group of smart people, studying issue after issue for years on end, with virtually unlimited resources at their command, not come up with a single policy that works? Why are they chronically incapable?
Why?
One of two things must be true. Either the Democrats are unfathomable idiots, who ignorantly pursue ever more destructive policies despite decades of contrary evidence, or they understand the consequences of their actions and relentlessly carry on anyway because they somehow benefit.
I submit to you they understand the consequences. For many it is simply a practical matter of eliciting votes from a targeted constituency at taxpayer expense; we lose a little, they gain a lot, and the politician keeps his job. But for others, the goal is more malevolent - the failure is deliberate. Don't laugh. This method not only has its proponents, it has a name: the Cloward-Piven Strategy. It describes their agenda, tactics, and long-term strategy.

The Patriot Act had a sunset clause. Several of the surveillance portions originally expired on December 31, 2005.[1] These were later renewed, but expired again on March 10, 2006. Other parts of the Patriot Act are due to sunset....we can thank President Bush for his foresight in including a sunset clause on this issue. Now, let's see, the Democrats are running the show (since 2006), will they sunset it altogether or morph it into something else?
