No nobbie, you are correct. You can start voting in 2010 to start throwing the balance off in washington. Do your research and find out where the politians stand and vote them in for 2010. I am a firm believer there needs to be a balance in the senate. Too many Democrats in office is a mistake and so is too many Republicans. If there is a healthy balance, then you see a better balance and everything does not go too far left or foo far right.

We the People are the counter-balance to all this out of control Federal government intrusion into our lives by the Right given us in the Declaration of Independence to "alter or abolish" that form of government when it becomes destructive of our personal liberties. Please read this, and if you're in agreement, let your friends know too. We CAN put a stop to this and we DARE not wait until 2010 to start! There's too much fraud, and we must overcome by our voice being heard outside of the political process too. 4 to 5% unemployment during the Bush years and all we heard from the liberal press was the economy is in the toilet. Now almost 10% and Bo and the press are telling us we've "turned the corner on the economy!" Well, just which corner is it that we've turned? Yeah, the one right before we go collectively over the cliff! Do something about it now. http://avoiceofthepeople.com/blog2.php

For the first time in 15 plus years, my small business is in the red. The last 3 to 4 months we are spending more on the bills than we are making. We are having to live on credit cards. Not good. I have never in my life had to do this. So to me the economy had gotten worse. It slowed down somewhat last year, but we were still making profit, just not as much the previous years, but we were not in the red and then all of a sudden, work is just not coming in.

I believe the 2010 elections are going to be great entertainment as the libs try to explain themselves. It won't have much to offer in the way of substance but man,,,,, the entertainment value will be priceless!!!

Just a quick note to all of you: I try to come to FoxNation as often as I can. Your posts encourage me. During the campaign season, I wondered do people even care anymore about this country and the direction it's heading. The posts I read here on a regular basis are a resounding "Yes, people do care!" That gives me hope. So thanks to all of you. I was just listening to Luke Stricklin's song "American, By God's Amazing Grace" on youtube. I love this country, what it stands for, and its people. God bless. :)

It depends on what his intentions were...which seem to be getting more clear everyday. Personally, I think he's a switch-hitter and he's holding off to flip the money to tax cuts when all political hopes seem lost....then everyone will get off his back....and he may pull in bipartisan support if he does.....shrewd dude!

Economic illiteracy is blinding and shows that the dems have dumb down the public school system to their satisfaction! To have THIS many people believe in a recovery package that flies in the face of economics is absurd! I JUST had a debate with a ECON majors and whooped their butt (I was getting double teamed). They still cannot believe that I mopped the floor with them. Economics is NOT that hard when you apply Freedom and Define Economy in simple terms. They believed that an Economy is to hard to explain and would take hours yet it took me only one sentence and about 15 Seconds. They BOTH also believed that when people say the phrase "Free Market" that person is referring to "Wall Street"! I advised her to go back to school Monday, head straight to the Deans office and DEMAND a refund since the product they sold her (In this case, information and knowledge) was junk!

Let them eat cake, uhh? Look, the company I worked for for the last five years went out of business and everytime I go for a job interview I have to stand in a long line. I dont enjoy being on unemployment but the alternative is to be homeless. So if some well-off folks have to pay a little more taxes so the not-so-well-off can eat, well sorry if I dont shed any tears for your tax bill at the moment. I hope you never need any gov program to help you and your family, but if you do it'll change your whole perspective.

The Center - Sorry to hear your job loss. I have lost my part time job also. I am not collecting unemployment checks yet. I have a small business that is hurting and in the red. So I pray things will get better. About the unemployment. My sister in law is collecting and says it is easy, she does it right on line. Takes 30 minutes to set it up with questions, then every so often she reports back, signs in and lets them know if she worked or not. Try on line!
