President Barack Obama said his $787 billion stimulus bill “has worked as intended” as he pushed back against Republican criticism that his recovery program has failed to rescue the economy.

Every dollar that is spent in stimulus is a dollar that was taken from somebody else. The government can only create temporary work and it creates no wealth. Small business owners and entrepreneurs create jobs and wealth and it is exactly these people that the government is attacking through taxes. It's a recipe for economic disaster.

Why was this called a Stimulus if it was never intended to stimulate? Any of the "shovel ready" jobs it MIGHT create would be temporary anyway. Where is all this money being spent? Anyone seen any stimulus jobs?

Stimulus is working well here in Ohio. As of last week the unemployment was 10.3 percent. in Ohio. 1.3 percent above the national average. Hows that hope and change working for you. elections do have consequences.

I supported President Bush when he went after Sadam for other reasons – removing a safe haven for te.r.r.o.r.i.s.t in a v.o.l.a.t.i.l.e part of the world, de.s.t.a.b.i.l.i.z.i.n.g factor in the Middle East, didn't mind using p.o.i.s.o.n g.a.s on his and Iranians so who would be next, trying to get nucs. But the bottom line is Sadam didn't have W.M.D. Whether that was a l.i.e or not is debatable. Reading in between the lines here I would ECHO those wishes considering the well being of all Americans who have designs on living out their full lives to retirement...Under the Leadership in the White House today I am coming to agree with some who feel their only bright outlook is they are at an age where they won't see the end to our Country as WE all know it to be as of TODAY....
I can't believe I am expressing myself in such a negative manner considering how much I love my country and the ones who have given so much of themselves....

For the first time in 35 years, older Americans will receive NO cost-of-living increases(COLA) in their Social Security Checks in 2010. Additionaly, millions of Americans will alos face much higher premiums for Medicare Part B.
I'm a Senior and I sure as heck don't feel stimulated....and I sure don't need a SECOND stick it to the Seniors Stimulous.
