FOX Nation Victory! Obama's Drive for Climate Change Bill Delayed!

President Barack Obama's push for quick action by Congress on climate change legislation suffered a setback on Thursday when the U.S. Senate committee leading the drive delayed work on the bill until September. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman Barbara Boxer said her self-imposed deadline of early August for finishing writing a bill to combat global warming has been put off until after Congress returns from a recess that ends in early September.

Yes, before they debate the climate bill, the senators first want to hop in their jets and spew tons & tons of black, hydrocarbon-laden plumes of jet exhaust all over the countryside, spreading their message (propaganda) as to why WE need to be environmentally responsible. Then they'll fly back, in those same big jets...what a bunch of lying hypocrites!

Man-made CO2 contributes 0.117 % to global warming. That means if the Earth were to heat up 1000 degrees, man-made CO2 wold have contributed 1 degree to that

The point he is trying to make is exactly why CO2 as the cause of the fake global warming scare is a crock. CO2 is a fraction of 1% of the total set of gases that comprise the atmosphere. Oxygen is approx. 16% Nitrogen is over 40 %, you got Argon , Helium, CH4, H2O etc. The Sun, Earth wobble, volcanoes, etc. contribute in a much greater proportion than anything else we can even begin to understand.

From EOS, the journal of the American Geophysical Union: http://tinyurl.com/dehjun. Note that the agreement rate is 97% among those who are actively publishing on climate change. (The AGU is the premier professional organization for US earth scientists.)
.
A recent Pew poll of scientists in general (not just earth scientists like the AGU study) found 84% agreement. Compare that to 87% agreement with evolution and you get the picture: professional scientists believe that both global warming is just as real as evolution. http://people-press.org/report/528/

I'm well aware of the point he's trying to make, jarasan. It's not a new one. The problem is, around 90% of climate scientists, who have spent their careers studying these issues, think he's wrong. I'll go with the 90%.

I asked for something from an actual climate scientist and you give me a blog page by Monty Hieb, amateur fossil hunter and chief engineer of the West Virginia Office of Miner's Safety? I mean, come on. He has NO background or education in climate science. This is a rank amateur's opinion. If you're going to toss around the very specific claim that CO2 would contribute 1 degree in a 1,000-degree increase, please show me that number from an actual climate scientist.

Now, if you want to see a real climate scientist's take on the water vapor issue, try http://tinyurl.com/w6hmb.

The problem with being consistently wrong or dishonest is that your word loses meaning. Then when you try to persuade people with meaningless words, all that's left is ridicule and scorn. There's a reason the GOP is shriveling up around it's Palins, Limbaughs, Newts, Cheneys, and Steeles. Not that it's their fault -- they're just going with the flow.

Fair and Balanced applies to the network itself, for the most part. Both liberals and conservatives have a voice on Fox. The part liberals hate is that Conservatives have their OWN voice now, on Fox and Talk Radio, and no longer have to rely on liberal news media to portray Conservatives in the light THEY choose. http://avoiceofthepeople.com/blog2.php

I might be better to say it was a victory for Americans. Fox Nation is a forum to discuss whatever subject that is the topic.
Just like the left has Newsvine and Huffington Post. I see FoxNation as an alternative place to post ideas. Yes, there are plenty of left leaning bloggers that visit this site that try name calling and spin as a way to intimidate people who post here.
I think that some Democrats looked at the possibility of being voted out of office next election if they went blindly over the cliff and voted for the bill. Politician's believe that their 1st mission is to get re-elected.

The State of Florida has one airhead Senator is name is Nelson and he wasl launched into space. Sadly, he left his brain in space and what was supposed to be between his ears is a vacuum. He has proudly told his constituents that he has introduced a bill to make the importation of non-native species of snakes into the United States illegal. He and his colleagues have been e-mailed to the effect that if they vote yes for any of the bills to do with Cap and Trade, Healthcare, or liberalizing the immigration laws at the expense of American workers jobs they will be serving their last term in Congress

Nope. If they're fair and balanced, they can't take sides on an issue in anything that's not clearly labeled as op-ed. The minute you do that, you're no longer balanced. You've taken a side in your news reporting. What "fair and balanced" news organization would consistently refer to Franken as "Stuart Smalley" in its headlines? C'mon, let's get real. Fox is what it is, and that's its right. But balanced it's not.

Ex Pat, you seem to forget that we conservitives do our research on these things. We know that the effect of cap and trade will be, we know that socialism is, and we know what libs like you try to do on message boards. The science behind this bill was faulty and that information is widely available. Those crossover republicals in the House either chose to ignore the truth or embraced the horror for personal gain. Either way, their days are numbered in the House.
