No Joke! Stuart Smalley Headed to Senate!

The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled today that Democrat Al Franken won the U.S. Senate election and said he was entitled to an election certificate that would lead to him being seated in the Senate. "Affirmed," wrote the Supreme Court, unanimously rejecting Republican Norm Coleman's claims that inconsistent practices by local elections officials and wrong decisions by a lower court had denied him victory.

Nice unbiased story title. People here don't seem to appreciate a well-educated, smart, funny, long-time political activist, and committed caring person. He's also been a long-time USO entertainer and dedicated family man. Watch him in office first then decide.

it has nothing to do with whether or not he will do what is right....it would be nice if he did but having heard him speak i doubt he will...it is about whether or not the election results were legitimate....i appreciate that understanding that point might be tough for you.

It's such a joke that such a biased, propaganda machine like FOX "news" dares to accuse other media of being biased. No wonder the USA is in decline. The media (including FOX) is NOT doing it's job. Wake up people and demand better media.

Thanks. It's obvious people neither read nor take the time to listen to other's opinions. A well educated, tolerant and well informed populous is what made America great. Not eating up the garbage served up by TV/Radio and rating grabbing talking (or screaming) heads.

I have been reading the posts ,and people call him anything you want, but add senator first. This gives "Dirty Harry" 60 votes. We are in very deep DooDoo. This means Cap & Tax, "Health Care Reform(socialized medicine)" are almost a foregone conclusion, not to mention Sonia baby to the high court. Don't think you'll scare them into voting your way. Even if they lose their reelections, they get to keep their health care, and their saleries for life, and we are still screwed. I don't even know if any of this can be undone, even if conservatives take back the house, and the senate. Yes we need to take a stand, by supporting those senators, and house members who stand up for freedom. We need to find those canidates that will stand for personal freedom, the constitution, and life. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!! They are taking your freedoms.

All I see on here are people throwing jabs at each other. Dose any one here even know what is really going on? ... Do any of you really know anything about the very important issues we are dealing with ? It doesn't sound like it. Sounds more like what goes on in the school yard. Stop shouting insults at each other and try to really discuss the issues like adults.

the communists have finally taken over the USA. The commie democratic party has done what the USSR was not able to do - without a shot ever being fired! 11-04-2008 will go down as the DARKEST date in USA history - for that is the date we voted our own DESTRUCTION!

“Without God, there is no virtue, because there’s no prompting of the conscience. Without God, we’re mired in the material, that flat world that tells us only what the senses perceive. Without God, there is a coarsening of the society. And without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

Glad to see this was finally solved. We should commend the system in place and acknowledge that it functioned properly. While it took longer than most would have liked, the right individual won and we can all move forward. The people's work can now be done.

No, that is NOT what the investigation report said. It has been widely misquoted. What it said was that there were more accepted ballots than were shown in the vote totals, which is NOT the same as "more votes than voters" by any stretch of the imagination. Furthermore, the report attributed this to poor management practices, not to any chicanery.
