For those that don't understand why the word treason is being used: I believe the word treason is being used mainly because no one has read the bill in its entirety. @ 3:00 AM Friday morning (about 21 hours before it was signed) 300 pages of amendments were introduced by the democrats. There was very little time to actually read the amendments, much less time to understand how they impacted the bill. Not only that, but when they were debating the bill later that day someone asked to see a hard copy of the bill and one wasn't available. From my understanding ANY bill being debated MUST be available in a hard copy form (this is a written law).
These actions, in my opinion, violate one of BO's campain promises that he would bring transparency and accountablity to Washington.

Remember when the Liberals went crazy over the "losses of freedom," and "the end of our democracy?"
I didn't believe the hype then and neither did you.
Now, however, the roles are reversed and there is another bill that is shoved through with no one in Congress reading it through. Today, Conservatives are going hysterical.

We were fine under the Patriot Act. We will be fine under the Climate Change bill.

i don't know about ya'll, but i e-mailed my congressman (Marsha Blackburn) to say thanks for voting against it. Then we have cohen who voted for it, i e-mailed him,that was the dummest thing you could do, vote yes for something you have not even read. This bill will make every thing you do and buy go up.

What is not readily being reported is that The House did not vote on a Bill. The "Bill" has not been written. I don't know what it was that they voted on. So now not only has the Federal Governement stopped representing us, they have also stopped reading and debating bills. They now take votes on "Concepts". Don't both them with information. Details can always be added later after a vote (of some sort) has been taken.

Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
Clause 2: The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
I think that the argument could be made for treason based on this:
1: Government has been waging war on our industrial base for 45 years "The blood of the nation"
2: Government has Armed our Enemies (Iran, Iraq"Husein", The Mulahs, and more, The list is too long to name.)
PEOPLE THINK! What has the public done to aid the environment in the last 30 years? Our rivers have fish in them again. You can actually eat a few a year without getting mercury poisoning. Smog is reduced etc. The people take action! The government has done nothing But spend our money and operate a large military complex. "to export war" The public wants a clean environment proved by action. the government could care less proved by action! But they want to tax you. All this bill does is grow Government!
