There are several sites - www.teapartypatriots.com and www.teapartyday.com has a listing of over 1200 tea parties scheduled around July 4th.

Why not utilize this comment page to be civil, put forward constructive comments instead of the little nit-picking comments back & forth ? Learn from history instead of going back to blame. Who has time for such a waste ??

Excellent! Break out the beer and popcorn! We get to watch the demented losers protest against a government acting in their economic self-interest, while not once doing so during the plutocratic Bush Admin.

Most Liberals just watch the talking heads on the mainstream media channels and believe whatever is reported. I would venture a guess that 90% of them are ignorant and don't know what TEA Parties stand for--TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY. Therefore, those Libs who DO know what TEA stands for must feel that they are NOT paying enough taxes. If this is the case, I would suggest they send all their additional cash to the Treasury to reduce the deficit.

Please, remember to bring drinkable tea this time around, guys. Last time there just wasn't enough to drink. Hey, maybe some of you entrepreneur types can set up a tea stand or something. I know some place may require a license and there might not be time for that, but lets see what we can do. At the very least, lets make some sun tes the night before so we can drink that, okay? Come on everybody, lets make this tea party more than just a metaphor. Everybody join in, "MORE DRINKABLE TEA, MORE DRINKABLE TEA...WE LIKE SUN TEA, WE LIKE SUN TEA..."

It never ceases to amaze me how little people know how the federal government works. The House of Representatives initiates all spending bills not the President. I believe Regan had a Democrat controlled Congress during his 2 terms. Bush 41 had the same situation. The only one with blame is Bush 43 which had a Republican controlled Congress until 2006. The only thing the President can do is requested the Congress to support his proposals, he can not authorize their funding. Please educate yourself as to how the federal government works or should work.

I was okay with Reagan because he shrank the size of government, He also increased defense spending that caused a collapse of the USSR. He cut spending and lowered taxes and got us out of a recession. I was not happy with the increase in the size of government under Bush or the bail out of the banks or giving the auto companies money. I'm even more unhappy about the current admin taking over auto companies, cutting shareholders out and giving a shares to the union who is a major contributer to the decline. I also object to spending tax dollars on creating more government agencies. If we had a short term deficit by lowering taxes on business that would help create jobs and allowing business to write off all of their premiums for health care costs I'd be more okay with it, for that creates a long term solution.

I guess it takes a quadrupling of the deficit for people to feel the pain and do something about it. It's more than the deficit though. I don't remember big government take over and bailouts during the Reagan years. It smells like the road to socialism to me and they don't even try to hide it. I think Americans have been asleep over the years and it took a rude awakening from a radical left President to take action.

Those involved in Tea Parties are educated, thoughtful Americans, not the "hill billies", etc. They have listened carefully & are not doing the 'ostrich" thing.(..head in the sand.) ..retired teachers, military, previous policemen, dedicated parents that envision where all our freedoms are going. There are over 1,500 now scheduled so no excuse for not finding one in your area.Speak up & speak out. James Madison said "It is an unfortunate incident to republican government, though in a less degree than to other governments, that those who administer it, may forget their obligations to their constituents, and prove unfaithful to their important trust". Go to www.teapartyday.com ..then click onto your state which will give you a location in your area !! The military fought for your freedoms. Thank them by helping to preserve & defend all of them !
