This is a special message to "WeWon". You cite the republican party as being unappealing to youngsters between the ages of 18-29. I hope you read the article on today's Fox Nation about the young man, IN THAT AGE RANGE, that raped an unconscious girl, performing the act on the web, live. Maybe, as a republican, I am not all that crazy about contaminating the party with the average 18-29 mentality! May I presume YOU fall within that group?

I can not nor do I want to prove to any one that there is no god... but if you do about 15 minutes of research you can find plenty of contradictions and inaccuracies in the bible...I would find it hard to believe that the "divine" word would allow that

There doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason some posts don't make it..... made obvious by some that do make it through. It must have something to do with a discard cache on some occasions.... extremely offensive wording on some.... and all appearance of extended coffee breaks on others. Also, don't expect dial-up to treat you kindly. Point being, don't take it personally. I'd be a wreck if I did.

You guys haven't clued into the fact that old school conservative values don't win when the economy is bad. This is PoliSci 101. You are not going to win major elections by focusing on the trivial. What's your plan for the economy? Health Care? Education? Bashing the opponenet isn't going to work anymore. So the anser, Semper Fi, is that no, there is no leadership out there. The 'base' is focused on the issues that are of second importance to the electorate when the economy is bad. And honestly, if you (globally, not specifically) think Sarah Palin is the best you have to offer... you're doomed until 2016.

Actually, the GOP has been running the show and the Conservatives have not been invited. In their eyes, all the moderates are their version of a Conservative and we Conservatives are shoved aside as right wing nut jobs. Look at what happened to Sarah Palan and she was better qualified then any of those running, she was a governor, she was solid Conservative and she could do it. Left worked to undermine her, the GOP did the same. We will just have to insist that she be heard by supporting her, few bucks here, few words there, few votes and maybe she will be in.

The GOP could turn this around, but is too afraid to 'alienate' the base. Ok. Perhaps this is good politics. Of course, Republicans tanked their own candidate. McCain was quite the conservative but did not get recognition for that by conservative press. But... As a Democrat, I pray that you guys unite behind Sarah Palin. you know the tribulation is shortened to 5 months right! Revelation chapter 9:5. Where in the Bible is the word "rapture," can't find it. You should really do a study of the "rapture doctrine."

Well with Eddings what I mean by coasting is that he's essentially got like 3 or 4 character templates that he gives to every character in his novels. Which makes his novels generic. Which isn't essentially a bad thing and lends them to be rather film-friendly. Most especially his dialogue, it's very catchy, fast and easily lends itself towards the faster paced medium of film. The biggest problem with turning books and most especially comics into film, as has been mentioned before, is that they are often episodic in content. Their worlds are too dense or something is always going on. It just makes them poor single film materials. Especially given things like how often in comics and novels the bad guy will often escape or... oops, wrong discussion thread, bye

I believe in the rapture, the tribulation, and then the 2nd coming of the Lord. The Bible does not talk about pre, mid, post stuff. It simply says there will be:
Signs of the end of this age (Matthew 24) which is now.
Then the rapture (1 Thess. 5:2) not to be confused with the 2nd coming.
Once the church leaves, the anti-Christ will be revealed and tribulation begins (Revelation).
Then the 2nd coming of the Lord to put satan in the pit and set up His kingdom of which there shall be no end (also in Revelation).
This is what I've learned from years of studying the Bible. Take it or leave it.
