I find it utterly amazing that Fox News has ignored this blaringly obvious issue from the beginning. I believe they were trying to avoid a national conflict on a revolutionary scale. What they fail to realize is that the truth will come out eventually, and the longer this foreigner stays in office, the more damage he is going to do to our once free nation, the worse off we're all going to be. Talk about arrogance......BO is so arrogant that he believes he can continue his charade as POTUS without proving his legality. He definitely has something to hide, otherwise he wouldn't resist providing the authentic certificate and not a copy of live birth which isn't acceptable for a drivers license!! If you look up "arrogant" in the dictionary you will see BO"S press secretary face when asked about BO's birth certificate! The H. of Rep is working on legislation right now that will assist BO in hiding his proof of citizenship. ALL AMERICANS DESERVE TO SEE PROOF.

Even if it is a technicality he may not be, and needs to stop paying thousands to lawyers to keep it under lock and key. He is supposed to be open????? Show your college admission papers, your passport, financial aid papers, and any publications you made while in college, BO, and prove who you really are (Barry Soetoro). My eyes have been opened by this issue. The fact that the media has refused to cover this issue is astounding. The fact that the judges all over our country are complicit in this lie is amazing. The fact that the "president" is willing to lie to our faces about this while professing "openess and change" is unbelievable. If someone is willing to lie about the seemingly small things then he will definitely have no trouble doing it when it comes to the bigger issues. This is scary and this guy needs to come clean or forced to come out into the open. I am happy to see FOX finally at least ask a question about this but honestly you guys have dropped the ball big time in an attempt to avoid politically correct backlash. Shameful.

He doesn't even have to produce the certificate to shut me up. I want him to answer publicly exactly where he was born, what passport he used to travel to Pakistan and Indonesia in 1981, and did he receive funds as a foreign student to pay for college? Then, he should allow the agencies with this information to confirm or deny what he says. They would not have to release anything. This issue is the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I don't buy or read newspapers or magazines anymore. I no longer watch news or commentary programs on tv. This used to be a big part of my life; now, I get my information from Drudge and other sources which I deem reliable. Also, it doesn't take a genius to figure out the difference between citizen and "natural born" citizen. There is a good reason why the visionary founders of our country placed this restriction in our constitution. The news media of today is complicit in the trashing of the very foundation of our land. God will protect those of us who show respect for the law of our land but woe to those who don't.

This is very scary, indeed. How can there be a more important issue facing our country than the constitutional eligibility of our President? By refusing to release his birth certificate, as well as his other records, it sure appears he has something to hide. The questions are not going away.

Fox is the only one covering this...the powers that be at FNC should release the dogs of war on this subject and not take no for an answer...its one thing for a World Net Daily reporter to get laughed at by Press Secretary Gibbs but another thing for them to laugh at Fox News asking the same question...have FOX NEWS REALLY DIG INTO THIS...give it some credence...

It is difficult to understand that if you have nothing to conceal, why spend so much money and energy to keeping records concealed...long form of a birth certificate and school records. It seems that this cloud of doubt could be dispelled so easily if the records are revealed.

Think about this for a moment.
After fighting the Revolutionary War with Great Britain, the framers of the Constitution would insert two distinct words of "natural born" citizens as a requirement to be president.
These men wrote with great precision in writing the Constitution and the two words "natural born" had a solid definition at the time.
What you will have to believe is the framers would find no fault with the Son of a British citizen from Kenya being the Commander and Chief of the American
armies. They purposely would allow just anyone born in the U.S. to be president. If so, why use the words "natural born" to define the level of citizenship??
I'll make it easy on you. They did NOT want the Son of a British citizen from Kenya to command the armies defending America.
Natural Born is 100% American, two American parents and birth on U.S. soil.
It's our highest level of citizenship required to be president or vice-president.

Natural born only applies to people born after the adoption of the Constitution. Those who were citizens of the United States BEFORE the Constitution was adopted were exempt.

NO, ignoramus, it is precisely because of their British birth and considerations for future U.S. citizens that this is not only a good argument, but a valid one with direct consequences for our security and eliminating conflict of interest and loyalty. Furthermore, U.S. citizens stationed on U.S. sovereign property, no matter the location (US embassy, US military base, US territory, etc.) IS considered "natural born" according to law and defended by judicial precedent, despite whatever you think.

The founders also made an exception just for themselves in Article II as they were born under British citizenship.
When they died the Article II exception died with them.

The Founding Fathers may have been Brittish citizens but they were born in America....please read the definition of a natural born citizen- BOTH Parents have to be citizens AND the child has to be born on American soil to be a natural born citizen.

Note to guy4013, there is case law to suggest that citizenship of the child does indeed rely to some extent on the jurisdictional allegiances of both the child and the parents. Simple geography is not enough. See especially Elk v. Wilkins, 83 U.S. 36 (1872) (Indian child born on US soil not a citizen because birth in reservation voided jurisdiction requirement), and the Slaughterhouse Cases, 83 U.S. 36 (1872) (finding that the phrase 'subject to the jurisdiction thereof' was intended to exclude from its operation children of ... citizens or subjects of foreign states, born within the United States).

Again, I believe the case revolved around just U.S. "citizenship", not "NATURAL BORN" citizens.
I don't believe there has been a case at SCOTUS on point to just "NATURAL BORN" citizens because our history always had honorable men with known histories and birth records as candidates for president.
Excluding, Chester Arthur, our first illegal president (1881-1885)

In the 1898 decision, in the case of: The United States V. Wong Kim Ark, SCTOUS determined that if you were born in this country, then you are a natural born citizen of this country, even if your parents were not citizens or even if you were born the subject of the Chinese Emperor. If you were born here, then you are a natural born citizen. End of the argument.

who says a jugement cant be wrong? but if it is the case that his birth record shows he is a natural born citizen, but he has been nationalized by a different country shouldnt that remove the previous tag. those are my thoughts. i hope that all is well and legal in this news. i pray for this man everyday. i pray for all politicians. i await the day that "mr smith goes back to washington!" my father's thoughts were always anyone who wanted to be in politics never had any business being in politics. sometimes i agree.

There has never been a case on point to "NATURAL BORN" citizens and there should not have to be some great legal case to define a phrase that has many historical definitions, most easily understood by ordinary Americans without a lawyer present.
As mentioned above, you want us to believe the framers would allow the Son of a British citizen from Kenya to be considered "NATURAL BORN" and to command the American armies, after just fighting the American Revolution.
You're insane if you believe that.
