This birth certificate discrepancy is a valid issue and must be resolved. Some have called the challenge a conspiracy. It seems to me that the conspiracy is among those hiding the proof of his natural-born citizenship (or lack thereof). The Supreme Court has, so far, refused to hear any challenges. I can only think of one good reason-- having to make Joe Biden president. That scares me, too.

It seems to me like the chief executive officer of the land, that is the guy who is required to execute the laws passed by Congress, ought to lead the way in complying with the law. I think that has something to do with example, integrity, and oh yeah, the rule of law, and equality before the law. No Kings above the law in this country, right?

How did he get a passport?
When I applied for my US passport I provided a certificate of live birth and was turned down. I had to go back and get the long form birth certificate to obtain my passport. I find it incredible that the POTUS does not need to release or provide his long form birth certificate to prove he is a natural born citizen. It costs $20 . What is he hiding?

Like I said, it doesn't matter where he was born because his mother was an American citizen. Many babies are born overseas to American citizens....and they are just as much a citizen as if they were bornon American soil.

If you were born on American soil, then you are a natural born citizen, no matter who your parents are. This has been established by SCOTUS since 1898.

You either forget, don't know, or refuse to acknowledge that his mother was too young to confer citizenship under the law at that time.

It does matter! He would be a citizen if his mother were a citizen, but it order to be a "Natural Born Citizen" both parents have to be US citizens. The constitution requires more of a President than any other office. No one with dual citizenship at birth is eligible to hold the highest office in the land because they have split allegiance by birth.

Actually, if his mother was an American citizen it doesn't matter who his father was or where he was born. But there is an issue of his schooling in Indonesia where it is required to denounce citizenship in any other country in order to attend school in Indonesia. Since he went to school there, I assume he denounced his American citizenship.

Yes it does matter. Immigration laws the year he was born stated that the mother must be at least 19 years old to confer natural born status. His mother was 18.

Even IF you're right that he was born with natural born U.S. citizenship (which is unlikely), if he lost his U.S. citizenship by becoming an Indonesian citizen, that would mean he could at most today be a naturalized (rather than natural born) U.S. citizen.

Dude your wrong...you have more research to do. Both parents need to be citizens. Second, he was not old enough to pass on Natural Born Citizenship. Key here is where your loyalties would lie. Read up on Vital.

You are wrong and spreading incorrect information, probably deliberately. The Wong Kim Ark supreme court case in 1898 did not declare him a "natural born citizen" but declared him simply a Citizen of the USA. Birth in the USA per the 14th Amendment and the Wong Kim Ark decision gets one ordinary U.S. Citizenship, not Natural Born Citizenship. Natural Born Citizenship in a country is conveyed by the facts of nature at birth and not by any law or statue. Per Vattel and Bacon if you are born in the country to parents who are both citizens of the country to you are a Natural Born Citizen since at birth you have no allegiance or claims to or by any other country. See this simple chart which describes the 5 types of citizenship mentioned in the U.S. Constitution and the legal references defining such:

BTW, vital has nothing to do with the U.S. constitution. He was a Swiss philosopher who had nothing to do with the Constitution. Besides, even Vital recognized that British common law (which the U.S. Constitution is based on) recognized persons born in the realm to be natural born citizens. You lose.

Read the SCOTUS decision, "United States v. Wong Kim Ark" In this case, Justice Gray makes the point, over and over and over and over again that birth in the country = Natural born citizen.

This whole thing is driving me crazy. The natural-born requirement is clear. The lefties ridicule and laugh off all all demands for accountability. I can't get a drivers license without showing my birth certificate. He won't show his to be president. Yet he still has a positive approval rating-- because the MSM has spiked this issue and refuse to report on it.
Fox News is one of the few media outlets we have left to report the truth. PLEASE stay on this!

How can this be old news? This is the first time I have even seen this issue addressed in the media. Gibbs is playing word games. If my kids have to show a BC to play baseball then anyone running for POTUS must do the same. Only someone with something to hide would go to the trouble of sealing records and fighting court cases.

No brainer, investigate it. He is hiding something. But no one will investigate it and get the truth as it would have severe results, as all the laws passed would be void, everything he has done would be void, people would get into trouble, etc. So fox should either investigate it and get the truth or drop it, there is No Doubt there is something on his records that he does not want anyone to see, that is without a doubt clear as day. Now does Fox have what it takes to seek the truth for our nation?

In Hawaii in 1961, there were three different birth certificates
Generally, folks don’t know that Hawaii law, even in 1961, provided for multiple kinds of birth records, most of which are not what people think of when they think of birth certificates. The following is a description of those, including certificates for people not born in Hawaii. Go figure!
1. In the State of Hawaii, back in 1961, there were three different birth certificates that were obtainable: a. If the birth was attended by a physician or mid wife, the attending medical professional was required to certify to the Department of Health the facts of the birth date, location, parents’ identities and other information. (See Section 57-8 & 9 of the Territorial Public Health Statistics Act in the 1955 Revised Laws of Hawaii which was in effect in 1961). b. In 1961, if a person was born in Hawaii but not attended by a physician or mid wife, then, up to the first birthday of the child, an adult could, upon testimony, file a “Delayed Certificate”, which required endorsement on the Delayed Certificate of a summary statement of the evidence submitted in support of the acceptance for delayed filing...
...for delayed filing, which evidence must be kept in a special permanent file...c. If a child born in Hawaii, for whom no physician or mid wife filed a certificate of live birth, and for whom no Delayed Certificate was filed before
