As much as I think Ayers needs a kick in the teeth, I do think that asking any reporter if they think for themselves is legitimate. :) Considering the slack-jawed, drooling reception Obama gets from most of the press, it is a very legitimate question.

20 some percent may or may not reflect those who claim to be Republican, but there are many independents and third party voters who aren't happy.
When you combine them and take into account the polling data in regards to job approval ratings for congress, then there is good reason for those in power to fear for their jobs.

Do not be fooled Americans. This man has never gone away. One of his books is required text for people wishing to become teachers. It is full of social justice propoganda and white bashing. The majority of these impressionable college students are taking the crap their fed and indoctrinating America's youth. He once said that a successful revolution is launched through the school systems and after trying to bomb the Pentagon and Police Headquarters he wisely took that route. We have to save our children.

They were all in on this grand plan of 20 years ago to get Obama where he is today and turn this into a Socialist/Marxist/Communist Society. It may sound far fetched but think about it. My wife is a teacher, and I'll ask her if she was required to read it. I would have remembered her griping about it. She's not a big fan of the socialism in our schools these days.
