Ellen, in referring to the religious community, please do not list categories as "Christian, Catholic, and Jew". The Christian Church includes Catholics. I happen to be Protestant, so my beliefs obviously would differ in many respects; but it bothers me to hear anyone suggest that Catholics are not Christians.

When Obama campaigned on change, I don't think anyone had the idea the type of change he meant. He reached deep down and pulled the plug and sold America down the drain. I have to agree it did have it's beginning during the Bush White House...

Obama's poll numbers from Rasmussen have obama's approval rating dropping to 56% and falling. If I wanted to be a socialist, I would have moved to Europe. But I believe they want a one party system running our country, the left has already installed new rules in Congress which keeps Republicans out of debates, and the most serious is using a new tool which will remove the 60 votes needed to pass a bill or a law in the Senate and make it a law by a single vote over 50. On another topic, we have two missile defense systems tried and tested. the most effective is the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System, the other, which would have fooled N. Korea would have been the air borne lasers which heat up the missile so fast it explodes in about 15 to 20 seconds. It would just look like another failure. Bush would have used either of them, like Bush or not, at least he did what he said he would do.

The "new rules" aren't new at all, in fact the Republican controlled congress used this tool know as “Reconciliation” many times during the six years that they controlled all three branches of our government.

Obama continues to change policy and implement programs exactly as his opposition predicted in the campaign and yet supporters ask that we give him a chance. I can't help wondering what else he would do if he was given an additional proverbial inch? And why is he still campaigning, unless he just needs to keep up the facade of his campaign promises while he dismantles our republic?

Has anybody wondered what we will do with the Bush haters if we get a true conservative in? My big complaint with President Bush was he wasn't a fiscal conservative, yet many were frothing at the mouth over him. Confronted with a Regan-esque conservative the only direction they have to go is to start tearing off limbs and beating each other with them.

It seems curious that the Pew Research website is down after publicizing this poll. The left always said President Bush and Vice President Cheney were the most polarizing figures in D.C., but there has been no main stream discussion of this poll.

This is not surprising. There are so many people who, for their own reasons, refuse to give PRESIDENT OBAMA a chance. Considering all the posts I've read on this site acusing him of being everything from a socialist to the Anti-Christ, I guess there's nothing he can do to win over his critic's except do his job and forget about trying to please the un-pleaseable.

ddland45 it might just behove Mr Obama to quit spouting off how bad the United States is and try stating to the overseas nations the importance of working together from a mutual standpoint at this time. It seems the U.S. never has a problem bailing out nations but when the need arises the overseas quarter never can assist. How come that is I wonder?

Charlie, the President never said anything about "how bad the United Sates is". and he has stressed more than the previous administration about the importance of working together regarding terrorism and the global economy.
Its harder now because of the past positions we've taken that if Europe didn't agree with us, then we'd go it alone. President Obama is trying to change that. And as far as us bailing out other nations, I guess China buying up our debt and keeping our economy going doesn't count?

Yes! That is why I left the Democratic Party recently. My values no longer could be found with them...anywhere. I find it sad but it is a process that has happened over the last 40 years. The hippies grew up and got educated and now they are teaching our children and altering our Text books to teach them lies. Why do you think most people under 30 have a big diploma but not really an education?
I think it is a concerted attack on America that has been in the making for 40 years and that Obama represents that movement.

Hasn't anyone else out there read the left behind series? Watching this administration and congress sure puts emphasis on the word 'preordained'. For all of you who point and scoff at the Idea of christ and god, just close your eyes a minute and visualize the scoffers during the great flood, screaming and begging for help as they watched Noah and his family float away! There are some decisions made in life that we don't get a 'do over' on. And I don't claim to know if Obama is the anti Christ either, but watching him and his admin. and congress, if he's NOT the anti christ, he's sure paving the way for the real deal!!

I have read the "Left Behind" series, and it seems to be unfolding right before our eyes. It was truly frightening how the masses of people seemed to be hypnotized by Obama. I am horrified that ANY christian, catholic, or jew voted for this man. He holds an ultra-liberal stance on promoting abortion, and has already committed funds to the Palestinian Hamas in the Gaza strip whose goals are to kill jews.
I believe that Obama wants the current economy to crash so that he can prop up the "world bank" idea. Then he can control all of our money. What next, computer chip implanted to buy or sell? Be afraid!!
