Hello ALL...
I think it is wonderful to see folks coming together regardless of political affiliations for
shared concerns about where our country is being 'led'. I live in the Lansing Area but
am not able to help do any coordinating of the April 15th Noon Time Gathering of
Concerned Americans at Michigan's State Capitol. I will be there...but can someone
else who knows the area well advise those who do not...the following?
1. Best parking areas (Handicap parking is very limited in Downtown Lansing)
2. Best time to be in Lansing to head to the capitol (I have concerns about the gathering only being a one hour event. Traffic in downtown Lansing is horrendous.
3. Has anyone in the Lansing Area considered contacting local churches that have
bus transportation available to ask if the churches would consider shuttling folks from
a 'meeting point' to go to the capitol?
4. Michigan State University is very near our State Capitol. Is there any effort amongst
MSU students/Alumni to participate?
5. If folks make homemade signs-wouldn't it be a good idea to make sure you print
also where you came from to get to the gathering so those that observe realize that
it is NOT just local follk that are concerned.
I pray it is large, successful and safe for all concerned. For the sake of our children
and grandchildren and those that come after them...we can't be silent any longer!

Here is a letter along with a tea bag which I am sending to the President.
Dear Mr. President,
I wanted to send you this tea bag so that you could make yourself a cup, sit down, take a breath, and think carefully about some of your decisions.
I believe that you and Congress and the Senate work for us, not the other way around. There is enough blame to go around for everyone, Republicans and Democrats alike. Nobody seems to want to put any of the blame on Washington itself. Mr. Frank and Mr. Dodd were just as responsible for the Fannie Mae fiasco as anyone was. You could even add former President Clinton to the mix.
I am getting sick and tired of hearing you whine about this mess being caused by President Bush. Yes, he made mistakes but he is long gone. And your mistakes have increased the problems more than two-fold. It’s you and your cronies who signed a stimulus bill without even reading it. Who does that? You people are very good about making scapegoats of others to cover your own mistakes.
I was as moved by the election of our first African-American President as anyone was. That was not lost on me, so congratulations for that accomplishment. You are a very gifted speaker, but rhetoric won’t cut it. Some of us are getting wise to it. You say nothing. And the charm will only go so far.
Although I did not vote for you, there must be people who did who are scratching their heads. I am sure that they did not realize that they were voting for a socialist. Isn’t that where this is headed? It would appear that way. I believe that you are still charming the people who can’t think for themselves and who want to be supported by our government. But I, along with others who can think for themselves, want this country to remain a Democracy as our forefathers preached. I seriously doubt that any of you in Washington even know what the Constitution says or don’t care. You sure aren’t following it.
Oh, and by the way, you can’t reason with terrorists. I myself don’t want them in my neighborhood. I will always remember 9/11. And I will always thank Mr. Bush for keeping us safe after that because he knew it was a War on Terror. It is definitely the War on Terror. You are diminishing us in the eyes of the world with your semantics.

The real problem is the government cannot provide any proof of the moon landings. You laugh. Well, have you seen any other pictures of the equipment left on the moon's surface other than what NASA gave us more than 30 years ago? Why are there no third party pictures from business or other governments? If we can see other galaxies, light years away, why can't NASA provide a simple new color picture of the flags on the moon, whether it be taken from earth or an asset in the sky? Why could they take pictures of the moon's surface in the 1960's to find a place to land but not now? Forget all the other wacky theories, just ask this simple question...

I think every one that can attend these tea parties to do so, i am unable but would attend every one if it were possible. Its time for America to stand up against this new Administration. I myself am tired of turning on my TV news and hearing these outrageous numbers of billions and trillions especially AIG and others taking our hard earned money while me and my family sit on the brink of homelessness with out a dime in our pockets.

I would like to ask if someone could send a tea bag for me? I currently reside overseas on a military contract and am unable to send one. I am immensely disappointed in the gov't. I do not view the gov't missteps as a "party problem"; I am a Dem who didn't vote for Obama but the problems being encountered have been building for a long time (many years before Bush).
Also, can something be done to recognize fellow Americans, like myself, and partake on their benefit? I realize military members probably cannot participate as it may be viewed as political but I am sure there are many who are upset about the course our country is on. What are we fighting for anymore? We are willing to turn our backs on our long-time allies (UK) and welcome into the fold our foes (Iran). We are willing to let the gov't dictate terms and give up our personal freedoms.
All I can say is, after wearing the uniform myself for 10 years and knowing many veterans, I am sure this is all viewed as a "black eye" to the generations who came before--the people we are losing everyday who actually lived thru times such as these (Depression era, WW2 vets, founding fathers, etc.). Remember the quote, "Those who do not know their history are bound to repeat it." I, for one, do not wish to repeat history as I don't see anyone being this generation's Reagan, Churchill, Jefferson, etc; I do however see a new Neville Chamberlain--the Prime Minister who took Hitler at his word and let WW2 happen.

They have manipulated and damaged the economy in the US for their power grab and it has spilled over to the rest of the world. One thought comes to mind. If all of the citizens of this country are already discouraged with the Obamacrats, How in the devel did he get elected in the first place? Did ACORN have that big of an influence in the elections? Did the Electoral College get bought out?
However, the Republicans with McCain was not a good choice to run against Obama. I felt he only gave lip service to the campaign or was it planned that way?

How about a registration (or some other guide to find one or organize one) of tea parties with Fox, or some other site (so people feel safe) saying "Yeh, I'm fed up and I will stand up to be counted among those who peacefully disagree with the path the current administration is taking us. Let's do it now, before we get so far gone we look like Germany of pre-Nazi days , or Russia of pre-Soviet Union days. That's an example of both right and left governments gone astray. Sorry, Glenn, I don't listen every day. I work nights and sleep thru your show but I would like to get involved. HOW?
