Obama Calls Opponents "Teabag People"

In an odd coincidence, the House debate on Saturday to overhaul health care took place on the third anniversary of the 2006 election that gave Democrats majority control after 12 years of Republican dominance. It fell to President Obama and to Congressional leaders to persuade those Democrats still sweating the final vote that it would not prove the party's undoing in next November's midterm elections.

Both Mr. Obama and the House leaders showcased Democrats' newest colleague, Representative Bill Owens, who last Tuesday won a special election in an upstate New York district that Republicans had held since 1872. In the campaign, Mr. Owens gave unabashed support to the pending House health care bill, despite the opposition of national conservative groups, including the new Tea Party Patriots, who backed Mr. Owens' conservative rival.

In all seriousness, I came to this site, some weeks ago, thinking I'd find fellow conservatives who are worried about the overwhelming dominance of the Democratics party's most liberal politicians. I've given it a lot of chances.
Name calling is big. Nobody seems to read the stories they comment on. Half the comments are about how the person looks. this story was about Bill Owens winning a traditionally conservative district, not about Obama, by the way.
Nobody on this site ever makes an argument, or says anything about what they believe. I would say none of you represent anything but angry folks who've been left behind somehow. You are not the future of anything, but more dollars in the pockets of Mr. Murdoch. I guess I'm glad I spent this time reading here. I won;t wish you luck with the Palin/Limbaugh ticket, or whatever nonsense you come up with next. you don't have any ideas. You don't really matter.
You make me sad, mostly, and in despair for the future of my country.

The dispair for the future of OUR country should be directed at the poor leadership coming from the WH and the Congress. I'm not a teabagger, I'm a Veteran, a beliver in the real and unchangable principals of our Founders. This country is on a downward swing since Jan 2009. Stop it anyway you want, teabag rallies, protest, whatever it takes, but it needs to stop. Taxes, big government, lost rights have nothing to do with the real country we love. Your commentary is sad concerning this sight and the people who frequent it.

The problem with this site is the left wing nutjobs spend too much time here.....no one can carry on a decent debate when they comment....just gets everyone angry. Like everything else in this country for the last 50 years.......the loonies overshadow sensible people and we're so busy living decent lives and taking care of our famiies and businesses we don't have time to compete with them. The left wing nutjobs have plenty of time to do nothing but be heard.

@obxfisher....
Earlier today, at approx. 0643, nolies posted that 74% in the country was conservative. You answered at appprox. 0730 that you wanted the source for that 74%,,, OK, maybe her # was a little high. That being said.... Here are a couple of polls, the first taken by the liberal washington post and nbc news from July 2009: 1001 adults polled asking if they considered themselves as liberals, 20%, moderate, 39% and Conservative, 38% (margin of error =/- 3 points) this was calculated as almost 2 to 1. The other poll from Gallup was conducted in Aug of 2009 with 160,000 adults and it came back with similar results. liberal, 21%, very liberal, 5% moderate 35% Conservative, 31%, very Conservative. 9% Another poll by Gallup that I believe is very interesting... is obomba's state of Illinois.. 35% Conservative and 23% liberal.... That's all I am going to give you. RESEARCH MORE FOR YOURSELF. WTF am I yelling for... You want sources... you got em...

Soccer is certainly a contact sport. I have two issues with her behavior: one is the slap/punch tackled in the video. Two is the hair pull. The punch in the back was a response to the elbow in the solar plexus which if anyone has ever experienced hurts like the devil if done properly. It does not require much force. Having played multiple full body contact sports, soccer included, I would venture the punch in response was more of a warning than anything else. She is certainly a physical player and does need some reprimanding and some time off for consideration of her total behavior. I think charging her for assault is absurd though. The statement smacks of foolishness and naivety. I actually laughed. It' soccer and it is physical. She simply needs to have a good talking to and some time off for reflection. Do it again...and get the bench which would actually hurt more than being banned. She would have to sit and watch others enjoy themselves. That's sound punishment.
