ND Response has received official permission to host a prayerful and constructive demonstration on the campus of the University of Notre Dame on the weekend of Commencement. As students of this University, we invite all those interested in respectfully and constructively standing alongside us as we give witness to Notre Dame’s Catholic identity and affirm the sanctity of life. We have posted below a schedule for Commencement weekend. Please stay tuned to this page for further details as we get closer to Commencement.

Just watched the video and looked at the site. Students and Alumnus could all stand backwards while he speaks and receives this honorary degree. It would sure be telling if a majority did this.

While I am not a catholic, I applaud those students and faculty willing to stand up to the obamunists. It's about time that we use the same liberal tactics that they have used for so long. It's about time that they get a taste of their own medicine. If it was my graduation, when "the messiah" got up, I would also get up and turn my back to him and remain standing.

Don't count on seeing a stadium full of empty seats...if the grads and alums stay away, they'll all be filled with paid ACORN shills. That, and the compliant media will seat them all together and rely on "tight shots"--giving the impression that the arena is filled with adoring (and "enchanted") obamatards.

I will be watching this on TV. I would not miss it. I am expecting half the seats to be empty. I would love to see half the people walk out when Obama is presented his honorary degree or stands to speak. Perhaps people could stand and turn their back to him. Let the Revolution for Life begin.

As a recent alum, i am terribly embarassed by the administration's invitation to honor the most antilife president in our history. I am however extremely proud of all those students displaying the true spirit of Our Lady's University. Do not compromise your priniciples on what is right. Go Irish!

Anyone truly offended should just stay home and let the University mail your paperwork to you. The biggest nationally visible impact any of you could possibly have would be for the cameras to look out onto thundreds or thousands of empty seats where the students normally sit. Let "Buckwheat" speak to empty chairs.

Jesus gave audience to the devil himself (remember the temptation), and, what, you think the students and teachers at ND can't handle hearing Our Christian President speak for a bit? If Obama had declined the invitation you people would have a problem with that too, saying he will not go to a 'christian' place. He will not be able to do anything you will approve of. If Obama put Dr. James Dobson on the bench, enforced a Christian prayer in the public schools, and made a law that required every American to own a gun... you would still hate him, because that's what you Choose to do, hate and fear. If you really embraced Christianity, you would not be so scared.

Using your logic, Christ should bowed down and worshiped the tempter. By your logic, Christ just "chose to hate and fear" because he pointed out the other's wrong.
As for "Christian prayer in school," this is a PRIVATE school.
As for "Our Christian President," can you tell me which church, or churches, he has attended since being in Washington? The last one I know he attended was infamous for "hate and fear."

Horse Puckey! This gives tacit approval to Obama's agenda. While it is understandable to have a new president speak, it is tradition, it quite another to bestow honor on him. Further more Christianity is about love, first and foremost,but it also about fear as well. As in the wrath of God! You don't get to selectively choose the parts of the Bible that suit your needs. Also if he was all those things you listed you wouldn't like him. Be honest. If Dobson were put on the bench you would have a fit!!

He is not a Christian President and it is not about being Christian or not it is about definding the view of the right to life, if you have been following, which I doubt you do, you would understand the fact this is a Catholic School, that teaches the doctrines of the Catholic Faith and one of those is the right to life ....of which Mr. Obama is the biggest Pro=Choice president their is....in that fact alone this CATHOLIC school should not be honoring this man....they should not being allowing him to speak, so it is not the fact we are scared we are angry, that our teachings are being discarded as if they do not matter.
We are tired of innocent children being killed and Mr. Obama being the one who signed their death sentences by executive order....

I still don't believe Obama will be permitted to give a commencement speech
and given a Honorary Degree.
The Catholic Church is making a big mistake to let bo speak,when he is drastically contrary to our teachings.
This will be a betrayal of our core principles and in direct violation of the Bishops.
