MSNBC, C-Span to Carry Palin Tea Party Address
When Sarah Palin addresses the National Tea Party Convention on Saturday night, MSNBC plans to cover the speech live.
The cable network's decision follows on the heels of yesterday's news that Fox would be airing it, too.
CNN, which has a documentary planned Saturday night, expects to air parts of the speech on different broadcasts over the weekend, while sending several correspondents to Nashville for the convention.
C-SPAN is trying to cover Palin's speech live.

The O'Reilly Factor broke the news after the 2008 presidential election that Sarah Palin apparently did not realise that 1) Africa was not a single country 2) which countries were in NAFTA 3) basic principles of the relationships between different levels of government in the US. I also hopes she lets the Tea Party people know why she is supporting John McCain and whether she thinks Rush Limbagh should be taken off air for using the same offensive term in public that Mr Emanuel used in private. Finally, I want to hear her explain how taking the profits from mining in Alaska and redistributing that wealth to the citizens (who didn't work for it) isn't socialism.

Palin's speech should be entertaining. But at best she is riding the fence. Tea Parties and John McCain do not go together in my mind. He is too much of a big government guy and been entrenched in DC too long, yet she will be making a trip to AZ to stump for him. So where does she really stand?

I personally don't mind the Tea Party Convention for use as a networking and planning meeting, if fact, more power to them for that. But if they come out of this with a plan to unite as one and become a Third Party they are done as far as I am concerned. I will not support a third party. Every time this has been tried, it has left the progressives even more entreanched, and that we cannot afford.

I wouldn't watch MSNBC if Jesus Christ himself was scheduled to speak. MSNBC has nothing to offer that would ever make me want to watch that channel unles it was Obama-Soetoro resigning from office and MSNBC was the only station I could get. I don't even watch NBC television. For the past year, the only local station I have watched is ABC and that's for 15 minutes a day and only to get the weather. MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC are TRASH.
