Newt Gingrich, the former Republican House speaker and purveyor of the GOP "Contract With America'' that helped his party win control of the House after President Bill Clinton's election, says GOP chairman Michael Steele has started work on a new framework for 2010 that he is calling "First principles.''
"I've been talking with Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, '' Gingrich said today, speaking with students at C-SPAN's Cable Center Class.
"He is developing a first principles model that I think is a very exciting , positive step in the right direction,'' said Gingrich, who has said that he will decide by February about waging his own campaign for president. Sorry Newt. The American taxpayers are sick of the corruption on both sides of the isle –Democrat and Republican. Obama and his administration along with Congress could care less about public opinion. They push bills through that will put millions of our tax dollars in their bank accounts along with their collogues supporting them. American workers are losing their jobs –500,000 a month. The bankers got trillions of tax dollars and can barrow more at %0.00 . There is a new taxpayer/voter in this country called Independent.

Newt, you must be planning to run for president, because I see you with Al Sharpton and Arne Duncan talking about education. Why is it, we never see politicians out any other time except around election time talking about education? The American Tax Payers have pour billions into our education system, and it never gets any better, but is always a political issue, when someone's running for president. I just get tired of listening to politicians who use Education, Abortion and Taxes to campaign on, but never really do anything about these issue. You all campaign on everything, and when you get in office, you do what the lobbiest want you to do, and the big wigs. I can't trust any of you right now. I want some new faces with new ideas, and strong leadership values. I just don't see it with the people lining up to run. I say this with respect to you and others.

Newt is a very nice man and he has a very nice wife, but the Contract with America was for 1994. We're now living in a world completely different, where TERRORISM's all over the world. The first thing the Conservatives need to do is FIND THE TOUGHEST LEADER WE CAN FIND. Someone with a military background who can stand up to the problems facing our country and our world. The United States should come first, getting our country back to the GREAT NATION it's suppose to be. We need someone who can take on anyone who tries to destroy his administration, like the LEFTWING News Media and LEFTWING NUTS. I want to see a tough leader who can make a quick decision without waiting for months to come up with an answer. This is very dangerous to our country. Especially if our military needs support immediately. I'm looking for someone who doesn't depend on his SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS to make decisions for him. That shows WEAKNESS! We need someone like General Patraeus, COL Peters, or Senator Tom Coburn. WE NEED LEADERSHIP IN A DANGEROUS WORLD, he should know what to do, without a CONTRACT!!!

The first (and probably only) thing the Republican Party must do for us is to insure that the rights of the individual states, as literally prescribed in the 10th Amendment of the Constitution, are restored. Everything else will take care of itself. If they want to sign a contract with us, it will only be when we, not Newt Gingrich, Michael Steele or any other political "leader" write the terms of the contract. They can sign it or not. We're taking our country back, and we don't need them to do it.

Here's what I want to see: A TRUE contract with America. A contract that is two-sided, i. e., We the People get to insist on certain things from all candidates, not just redundant talking points. My version of a TCWA would include a provision that ALL politicians, of all parties must agree to embark upon restorative programs--programs that will undo some of the harm that has been done to this country over the last 54 years. Here are some examples: No conservative will donate money to any candidate of any party unless he/she supports (1) restrictions on (preferably elimination of) the practice of bribery thinly disguised as "lobbying," (2) working for legislation that requires that any law that creates a drastic impact upon the American way of life (e. g., the Healthcare plan) must be enacted only as an amendment to the Constitution, subject to the same ratification requirements, (3) work to require total equity in all legislation providing that reactionary legislation contain counterbalancing provision to protect the rights and privileges of citizens who have opposing viewpoints, and (4) (this is of course a pipe dream) work toward legislation that would limit all government employees' salaries to the average salary for persons with the same experiential, educational, and other requirements for his/her position.
Sucn a contract would be subject to provisions by others but should NOT include "hobby horse' issues like abortion, gay rights, and other hotbutton issues.

Thank You Mr. Speaker, your first contract, in contrast to what President Clinton gave us in his first 2 years was excellent. I hope a high priority for the republicans in 2010 will the total elimation of earmarks. In the 06 midterm election, the democrats promised to end earmarks. They failed. They campaigned against the culture of corruption, they expanded it. I hope you remind America that when the war in Irag went south for awhile, some big name democrats jumped ship and raced to the podium to dump on the men and women in harms war, that congress voted in favor in putting them in. I hope you'll tell all Americans that government overspending will never lead us to prosperity. Tell America, it works better when Americans spend their money and government is to big and must be cut. Remind Americans what built America, people like Alexander Grraham Bell, Henry Ford, the Wright Brothers, Bill Gates and every American who took the gamble of going into busines, manufacturing, retail. Please fight for lower taxes accross the board. And, less government interfence with over regulation. And tell, the American people that republicans are proud of America, her greatness in the past, present and republicans will always be proud of America.
