Why arent we having all the hoopla for Mr. Cronkite as we did for Michael jackson? Please I am not saying either deserved anything special especially when we cant even publicy honor the deaths of our hero's dying in Afghanistan and Iraq but it does show where as a nation we place our values and our values are sadly misplaced.

Cronkite was a big reason on why we lost and left Viet Nam.
After the Tet offensive in 1968, which we soundly defeated the North Vietnamese, he said it was a lost cause which resulted in anti war sentiment back home. He lied. Today if he were a young as a news reporter he would be no better than what CNN, CBS, ABC and the the New York Times reporters are., Liberal hacks. I certainly didn't believe what he had to say and I grew up in that generation and find it perplexing as to why we venerate people so easily. Michael Jackson and now Cronkite, whose next, Castro? Fox News really disappoints me, report what he really was.

like we think of it as Dems being Liberal
and Repubs being Conservative.
He meant it as the dictionary definition.
