The party that extolls family values and abstinence is upset when a tv show host (isn't that akin to a celebrity anyway, foxers?) makes fun of the daughter of one of their own big celebrity candidates that had a kid out of wedlock at a young age...THAT is funny. And yet you all have no problem with Rush, Hannity and the like spewing hatred for not only members of the opposing party, but for this nation as well...huh. Just one big happy, hypocritical family, I guess.

Letterman is a comedian. He tells jokes about people in the public spotlight. Sara Palin is a pro-abstinence-only-education supporting presidential candidate with a pregnant teen daughter. Bristol is the poster for failed abstinence education. Sara Palin is as much as fault as letterman for this joke.

Dave ... I disagree. Had his remark been directed at a MALE politician and his daughter, it would not have been acceptable. Why is it always open season on Palin? And Clinton? And Miss California? And any other WOMAN, particularly if they speak for conservative values.

And, for the record, Bristol was not at the ball game with Governor Palin (in fact, I don't think she even came to New York). Her 14 year old daughter Willow was. Hey, Letterman was not referring to Bristol being raped by A Rod. No, it is quit clear he Knew it was 14 year old Willow traveling with Governor Sarah Palin in New York.
Not only did his perverted audience laugh about an innocent young minor being raped, they again (knowingly) laughed as he inferred that same 14 year old girl is Elliot Spitzer's prostitute.

Willow wasn't at the Yankee game, either - so don't even pretend you think he was talking about her! It was just Rudy, his wife, Sarah and her husband at the game. Besides, it's clear he was talking about the 18 year old who got pregnant by her boyfriend and became a single mother this year (still unmarried).
