We have $1.7 trillion in debt to China. $11 trillion in deficit. Now we have 19 or 20 "Czars." We(gov't) have taken over cars, insurance companies, banks and I don't know what is next. The gov't will shortly pass the $634 billion downpayment on socialized health to GE. Followed by the $685 billion deposit on Cap n' Trade, another huge tax increase on all Americans. We are drowning in debt, we are a debtor nation and our children and grandchildren will pay....not us.

Interesting how you limited this list to cities. For completeness, you should do it by state, which includes metropolitan areas, exurbs and rural areas. If one does this analysis by state, guess what? It's right wing nut land (mississippi, alabama, louisiana, texas, etc.)

I don't believe that Texas would be in that equation, and if you look at the dominant cities in Louisiana, which leads to the MAJORITY of the poverty level in the state, it would be those cities that are all controlled by Democrats. It's actually the rural area of Illinois that reduces the poverty rate of the state and yet, Chicago is still a mess and totally dominated by Dems (including our illustrious Pres and his cronies--or is it Daly and his own personal White House crony?).

You are mistaken. Property is being seized (or bullied out of the hands of investors in the cases of Chrysler and GM). And land was seized in the case of eminent domain a few years ago so that someone could build a big condo building to increase the tax base. That's seizure or property for the "public good" (aka increased taxes).
We have NOT had a graduated tax system ever. I don't even know what that is.... We DO have a progressive tax system--as it has always been since it was implemented in 1913 by the 16th Amendment and the--lemme say it clearly--PROGRESSIVES of the early 20th Century implemented it.
#3 is not happening yet, but they do tax inheritance at an exorbitant amount!
#4 is what they do in Mexico to emigrants and rebels...
#5 Yes, the Fed is one form of it, but it sure seems like we just bought up a BUNCH of the banks and own their preferred and common stock in the guise of government control...I'd rather get ripped off by people smarter than me on Wall Street, than by the idiots in Congress!
