Lindsey Graham Censured By S.C. GOP

Senator Lindsey Graham, the Republican with a maverick streak, has been censured by local Republican Party officials in his home state of South Carolina.

The executive committee of the Charleston County Republican Party voted unanimously on Monday to rebuke Mr. Graham “for many of the positions he has taken that do not represent the wishes of the people of South Carolina, such as: passing a ‘cap and trade’ energy bill, bailing out banks and granting amnesty for illegal aliens.”

Lindsey drank some cool aid, amnesty aid and global warming aid. It's about time someone shut his mouth. There are several more RINO's that need to be taken care of soon. RINO's beware, we're out there and coming after you. You are no better than most of the libs.

It is time for the conservatives to bring the GOP back to its roots. If the GOP does not become truly conservative, it is worthless.

Lindsey Graham is nothing more than a RINO just like McCain, Snowe, Collins and a few others. The don’t hold to the founding fathers principles with regard to our Constitution. To work for Cap & Trade is nothing more than lining pockets of GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt, Al Gore, and other fat cats in Congress. This bill alone will raise everyone’s energy bill $3,000 per year in the next decade; $783 to $1,800 in the first year. With the unemployment rate at 10.2%, can many American’s afford this hike? It will also raise the price of gasoline. Wake up people… Healthcare, Cap & Trade, Amnesty to Illegal Aliens, and Dodd’s Financial bill will do nothing for the USA but raise taxes and have them take away our last piece of freedom that our ancestors fought so hard for. I will fight them everyday if I have to for my kids sake.

THis idiot was censured before over the Amnesty Bill he was pushing 2 years ago. The people of this state forgot about it and re-elected the POS just like he said they would. He said we have short memories and unfortunately he was right. I did not forget but the vast majority did. That's how these idiots keep getting re-elected. the flood the media with so many divisive issues that people can't keep up and they just give up....time to term limit these idiots and with rare exception they are ALL IDIOTS. Just ask any of them where the Constitution of the United States gives them the right to force the citizens to buy anything, much less this Socialist agenda for Health Care

It is only one county and the Senator does vote with the Republican Party on the key issues of HealthCare, Card Check, Abortion, Immigration, and will in all likelihood vote against Cap & Trade. An opinion is often personal and one opinion does not make a person anti-conservative. One can hold an opinion that differs with friends, political party, or enemies that is one of the foremost principles of the United States Constitution. I personally am 100% against Cap & Trade because it will destroy an already severely damaged U.S. economy and will push me personally with increased utility costs below the poverty level. Graham is entitled to his own opinion and beliefs and I give him credit for making them known!

you are defending the wrong Senator of SC that's for sure. He definitely is not with the people on AMnesty as you would know if you watched him call us all bigots and racist a few years back for being against amnesty for ILLEGAL ALIENS!. He may have said later he has seen the error of his ways but that was only to get people to re-elect his sorry A**. They forgot just like he said they would and and he was re-elected and now we are stuck with him for another 5 years.

This is how it begins folks. You're seeing the political revolution before your very eyes.
Graham is the poster child for all the RINOs in DC.
Like all politicians, his number one goal in life is to get re-elected. The good folks in S.C. in his own party are sending him a message that's pretty clear.
The question now becomes, is he smart enough to listen to the boss?
For everyone in South Carolina,,,,,, Good for you and you should be proud of your local party officials.

Grahamnesty and McAmnesty are both worthless RINO backstabbers and liberal collaborators who have sold out their base and brought the Republican Party to its knees in back to back electoral defeats. Unless the Republican Party can purge itself of these enemies within, they and America will be finished.

Lindsay Graham, along with John McCain, have been saying for quiet sometime that the GOP has to move to the so-called "center." That it has to be "moderate." If moderation means supporting Cap and Trade, supporting illegal-immigration, supporting taxpayer bailouts for companies and supporting unconstitutional laws like McCain-Feingold, then that is insanity. I rather have a conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater than a person that supports big government Rockefeller Republicanism.

Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 05:34 PM ===============
It is narrow core of beliefs in that is limits the powers of federal government. The language is explicitly clear. The founding fathers knew something about tryannical governments from their dealings with King George and the other dictator kings of Europe that they or their parents had dealt with first hand.

Politicians should be devoted to their political party, not half in and half out. Graham has said several questionable things that reach outside of party's values. Its critical to know who is who and what they stand for, within either party. Graham is a weak link within the republican party, and should be disciplined, in order to help him decide what his values are and aren't.
