The Asia trip was not worth Obama's time. Leslie H. Gelb on why the president should shake up his foreign policy team—and make sure the deals are done before he leaves home.
President Obama’s nine-day trip to Asia is worth a look back to fix two potent problems, past and future. First, the trip’s limited value per day of presidential effort suggests a disturbing amateurishness in managing America’s power. On top of the inexcusably clumsy review of Afghan policy and the fumbling of Mideast negotiations, the message for Mr. Obama should be clear: He should stare hard at the skills of his foreign-policy team and, more so, at his own dominant role in decision-making. Something is awry somewhere, and he’s got to fix it.

Commonsenselib...now there's an oxymoron for ya!

Hmm, who on here has selected an equivalently looney name to commonsenselib? There is no tolerantconservative or goodwar. Sir, it is better to remain silent and seem a fool then to type something here and remove all doubt.

This is what you get when you vote for a guy that graduated Harvard on dopesmoking and affirmative action, who got a professorship based on the before mentioned attributes, who then acted as a community organizer, who really did nothing for the community but did make lots of useful contacts in ACORN. Who then got elected as state senator of Illinois and voted present except when it came to denying care to babies surviving failed abortions and he then voted to murder them, got elected US senator and ran for president, really no experience in doing anything except smoking dope.

And let me guess...most of you think a "real american" is supposed to wear a hood and robe, continue a foreign policy based on arrogance and a self assumed sense of superiority, and keep going with the "good ol boy" system. Riiight

Why do you Liberals revel in your colossal ignorance? Are you so proud of it that you have to post these inanities and pronounce it to the world ?

It was a calculated move on BO's part. He knows the proper protocol. That "bow" was a non-verbal apology for Truman's ending a brutal war that the Japanese started. The radicals in the WH don't like this country.

I have to admit, POTUS: AKA: "The Freak Show," is getting better at this meet and greet thingy. Today was only slightly embarrassing when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh accidentally interrupted the POTUS while he was getting his daily exercise playing hop scotch in the Rose Garden.
Kudos Mr. President.

Hey BOBO the Clown from Circus Town. Why don't you check with your protocol office once in a while? That's what you pay them for. If they are advising you incorrectly, they should all be fired.

Having lived in Japan for several years, I can only express my embarassment at this amateurish display by the "leader" of my Country. neither he, nor his staff, obviously have any knowledge of proper etiquette in Japanese society. They would be laughing their asses off at him in Japan if they weren't so polite. The man's an idiot!
American Biker
This guy is such a nimrod. What a tool. I don't really care that Obama embarrasses himself on a constant basis, I am just ashamed that this idiot represents real Americans to the rest of the world.

BUSH'S FAULT AGAIN.
zoly reister
His inexperience is really starting to show. When asked about his lack of executive experience, he would always say "I ran a great campaign, I think I can run the country" Wrong! The campaign was a one issue deal: get elected. The job of running the country has lots of issues that never end and change all the time. If he needs weeks to make decisions, we'll be in worse shape than when Carter was in. Amateur hour is right!

With all the bowing Asia still cleaned Obama's clock big time!

Obama just can't get his lips off the backsides of international leaders. As far as decisions are concerned, he hasn't made any. Obama has the spine of a jellyfish and the brain of a gnat. What a waste of time and money.

obama is an embarassment to this country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seen an article that FOX ran a poll and that 67% of Americans thought it was a good thing for the Buma to bow, the poll I took showed over 90% thought it was wrong?
