Did I miss something or was Obummer suppose to rise above this issue and bring a new view to Washington along with his administration. This is a sad day for all of those who strive everyday to resolve the issues of the past. Obummer is in a job far above his pay grade and it is really coming to light. I can only guess at this, since this is a short clip, but it doesn't sound like Holder brought up the subject. The ABC interviewer asked him about it and then seemed to press him to come down on the side of Mr. Gates. I don't see any problem with what he said.

The irony of all this is that race has been elevated under this administration which many felt would promote more harmony...instead it has ignited a sense of black nationalism from rappers to professors to the greater visibility of ACORN....and we realize now that there has been this magic thin line that society has straggled quietly for years and vocal upheaval like this creates an uncomfortable imbalance.

I do not like Holder, however I have to agree with most of what he said in this matter. The proffessor is obviously a guy who screems race every chance he gets, and you can tell buy his life that he has been oppressed, by the man at every chance. The police officer obviously is like most other cops, if you dont kiss their but and just listen to what they have to say then they will arrest you for any greevance. We need to have better training for police officers so they understand that they work for all people, and they are not the only ones with opinions. Both parties are wrong and need to be critizied for their actions.

Educated at Harvard are you? It shows. Call you local Police Dept and get a definition of Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction of Justice, and/or Obstructing a Police Officer in the Performance of His Duties. Take this opportunity to get a REAL education.

From my perspective, the POTUS should NOT have gotten involved at all! He should have kept his mouth shut and let the police officer and the professor work it out. It has NOTHING to do with BO, and he's really the one who ignited this entire mess. So much for being the one who was going to make all those bad "race card" players stop doing their evil deeds!!! If it wasn't for racial tension, people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would be out of work. It's that mentality of the race baiters, of which our president appears to be one!!!

You're right, he shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place. But who do we really have to blame for that? IMO that wold be the media who asked him about it in the first place. BO definitely made a mistake in even answering, but I can only imagine what people would have said about him if he'd declined to comment on it.
