Does ABC News Have a Financial Stake in Obamacare?
Last June, as Newsbusters readers will remember, ABC allowed President Obama to pitch his health care proposal in a special edition of ABC's Primetime hosted by retiring World News anchor Charlie Gibson and (now incoming anchor) Diane Sawyer. Obama was given additional airtime to pitch his health care agenda that evening on Nightline.
Conservatives didn't get equal time.
Worse, ABC News even refused to allow the conservative group Conservatives for Patients Rights to purchase paid advertising to put out an alternative perspective.

This is a letter I sent to Senator Alexander of Tn.
I am truly dismayed by what I see happening in Washington. The Senate, the House of Representatives and the President are not listening to the American (non-illegal) public.
I have been watching the debacle that some call Health Care take shape first in the House and now in the Senate. I watched as Senators sold their vote for $300 million for their state or more in the most recent case of Senator Nelson of Nebraska. If this was not the United States Senate, it would be termed bribery, vote buying, and would land Senator Reid,r Landreau, Nelson and others behind bars. If this is just politics a usual, well then some politicians in Washington need to start changing it or the American people will.
What truly upsets me is the total disregard for the Constitution of the United States. No where can I find in the Articles, the clauses or the amendments where Congress is granted the right to mandate citizens purchase anything, let alone health care. No where can I find the purchase of a vote of a Senator from one state with the hard earned tax dollars of the citizens of the other states. Why has the Republican Party not challenged the constitutionality of this bill? Senator Alexander, why haven't you?
The anger you saw in the tea parties, town halls, and letters to congress will flair up at the voting booth next year. I urge you to stand up and and defend the constitution or the American people will.
