AARP Received $18 Million In Stimulus Money
AARP, which has given its full-throated support to Democratic health care legislation even though seniors remain largely opposed, received an $18 million grant in the economic stimulus package for a job training program that has not created any jobs, according to the Obama administration's Recovery.gov Web site.

Let's see the NON-profit Gov. "OPTION" forces FOR-profit Insurance companies to raise rates in order to compete therefore needing a supplement insurance. Low and behold guess who steps in? You got it.. the AARP. They sold out seniors( 500 billion in Medicare cuts) to make a buck.

AARP is tied in with SEIU and ACORN that is why they received money. They have also been promised all new business for the doing away of Humana Medicare Advantage once we all go single payer system. AARP will be covering all senior citizens with their Medigap insurance. There will be no other choice. That's why the government went after Humana when they sent senior citizens letters regarding the cuts in the healthcare and told them they could not do that. There is a new advocacy group call Generation America that is not tied to the government.

Dropped AARP YEARS AGO, but when we both went on SS and Medicare, they had the best cost plan...now I can not get the same plan with UNITED HEALTHCARE at any cost, locked in and discuss runs through my veins about the lie they peddle about not taking sides...In bed.. yeah and married at the hip to the dumbocrats, follow the money and you can really believe in ACORN AND AARP ARE REPRESENTING THE MILLIONS... just try to get a vote on an issue that is fair and balanced...
If you do get through and complain, they lie, then the next day have a "WE SUPPORT THIS HEALTHCARE PROGRAM..." I'm not racist but the way they treat the average person, it is a wonder that more are using color and not whom said what to whom...

This is a straight up pay off for AARP support on the HC bill. Otherwise, how could a group that purports to represent seniors support a bill that pays for itself (haha) by cutting seniors' health care coverage by $1/2TRILLION dollars. I wonder if their stimulus money came from Medicare too. AARP has been spending all that money on advertisting its Medicare supplement plan apparently. Whatever they are doing it is for the financial benefit of AARP and has nothing to do with the welfare of seniors. No-one reaching 50 should even consider joining this group. Seniors who are members of this group should cancel. They no longer has your interest in mind.

2. Members, make a statement and immediately cancel your membeship. Remember, you do not need to be a member to get their insurance; About all you'll lose are some senior discounts and their liberal magazine (have you ever seen a conservative on the cover?) . If you need the discounts so badly, join the AAA .
3. The health care reform bill plans to drop Medicare Advantage (deal made with AARP, so they (AARP) can sell costlier MedGap policies from which they earn more $$$.
