Rep. Foxx Fears 'Obamacare' More Than Terrorist Attack
Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) warned on the House floor today that the country has more to fear from health care reform than from terrorism. Here's the quote and the clip.
"Everywhere I go in my district, people tell me they are frightened. … I share that fear, and I believe they should be fearful. And I believe the greatest fear that we all should have to our freedom comes from this room — this very room — and what may happen later this week in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill. I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country."

I just love my choice to have health insurance or not to have health insurance. My life is what I make of it. There has been times I have gone with out. But there has never been a time when I did not have health insurance, that I was not seen by a doctor when I needed one. The doctor understood my financial situation and we always worked out a deal. So, it's not like there is not already a system that can work for us. Obama, leave health care alone please. I don't want to be a communist nation.

Healthcare can be fixed without a takeover. If I had control of the trillion you mention, most of it would go back to payoff national debt, not create more debt. Healthcare can, and should be fixed, but with rules, not muti-trillion dollar takeovers!

When the public option puts private insurers out of business, we will have no option. Government will control medical care and costs. We will be at their mercy. When we are sick or hurt and accept government medical care, we will "owe" them (they'll decide how much). To recoup costs for our care, they will come after everything we have, including our homes. It's part of the overall plan to destroy private property rights and redistribute the wealth.
