Greenpeace Leader Admits Arctic Ice Exaggeration
The outgoing leader of Greenpeace has admitted his organization’s recent claim that the Arctic Ice will disappear by 2030 was “a mistake.” Greenpeace made the claim in a July 15 press release entitled “Urgent Action Needed As Arctic Ice Melts,” which said there will be an ice-free Arctic by 2030 because of global warming. Under close questioning by BBC reporter Stephen Sackur on the “Hardtalk” program, Gerd Leipold, the retiring leader of Greenpeace, said the claim was wrong. “I don’t think it will be melting by 2030. … That may have been a mistake,” he said. So he admits to a whopper of a lie that Al Gore 's even bigger Whopper of a lie is predicated on but no one that believes in GLOBAL WARMING is going to turn back from their position now, espesially with all the monies that are to be made when they can bilk the public from the GREEN MOVEMENT and CAP AND TRADE when they force it through, GOD FORBID! The honest thing to do would be for every one of these nutters to admit that global warming is false but we can meet in the middle and clean up the planet a little anyway but we don't have to do it at man's expense!

Oh, excuse me--I made a mistake-- another climate change error. Has anyone ever watched "Deadliest Catch or Ice Road Truckers? The Bering Sea gets so bad the crab boats can hardly get into the harbor's drop off point. I remember someone saying about ten years ago that the Amazon forest area was almost gone.

@Ex Pat, climate change is determined by two things: Sun spots and solar flares. The problem for the alarmists is that nothing can be done about them, thus no money in it. And you are correct that there is a difference between weather and climate, as you have pointed out to some posters. That is hypocritical of you considering the left's screaming about the swallows returning to San Juan Capistrano two days early one spring, just to name one example. Remember the story about drowning polar bears because there wasn't enough sea ice? Turns out that polar bear populations are actually increasing. Canada is thinking about doing a limited cull, there are so many. Try to get all the facts next time and I won't have to take you to school. Have a nice day and stay warm!

The global warming scam artists can`t tax the sun, water vapor, the clouds, el nino, or ocean oscillations, so they pick CO2 to go after, even though CO2 is neither a pollutant nor a climate driver, and they know it... Al (100 million dollar man) Gore said it best, " The big problem is cars, coal, and buildings", which they can tax as high as they want, because to the alarmists, those three things are evil.
