What Do You Think of Palin's Resignation?

Outgoing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday laid the groundwork to take on a larger, national role after leaving state government, citing a "higher calling" with the aim of uniting the country along conservative lines. A day after surprising even her closest friends by announcing she would step down as Alaska governor more than a year before her term was up, the controversial hockey mom was still keeping details of her future plans under wrap.

The loons don't use facts. They just spew lies and nonsense. Just go back through the pages and read the idiocy.

Why let a few inconvenient facts get in the way of a perfectly good propoganda onslaught?? That is not the liberal way.

My understanding is she quit every job she's had--councilperson, mayor, and now Governor. Those that say they would vote for her again, may want to remember that. Hate to think she'd do that as President

Sarah Palin was first elected to a seat on the Wasilla City Council in October of 1992 and was reelected in 1995. In 1996, she ran for and won the Office of Mayor and was reelected in 1999. She concluded her public service as Mayor in 2002 and was unable to run again due to term limits.
Why spew??? Check out some facts once in awhile. It's good to read!!

Sarah Palin did the absolute right thing, both for her and for Alaska.
She stepped down to give Alaska a "full time" Governor again.
She freed up her time to go on the lecture circuit, maybe write a book, guest host a Fox News show or two, etc. Any or all of which will replenish her coffers.
When 2011 comes around, she will be in a strong position to start her campaign (if that really is her game-plan).
If she does campaign, I doubt very much that she'd accept the VP slot should she not get the nomination. Once is enough for anyone.
She either wins the nomination, or she will 'fade away.'

Palin needs to start a new party "The Common Sense Party" ! The Republicans wont stand and fight for her as the Liberals continue to attack her.
The Libs cant leave her alone. Why are they are so afraid of Palin? Because she is a real American not a suit from the beltway. America needs to rally around Palin and others with Common Sense to take our country back.

We aren't at all afraid of Palin. The people said they didn't want her as a vice-president, so why would they elect her President? No losing vice-presidential candidate in the television age has later been elected President. So I'm not concerned and actually hoping she will run.

Before she can start a party called “Common Sense” she has to get some. That’s like Burger King not having burgers. “Common Sense” would have told her that qui-, I mean, resigning for whatever reason is political suicide. If it wasn’t blackmail, then why would she do this?

I used to watch MSNBC but I was so sick of their commentators and newscasters. I can't believe we have adults on television that are allowed to rant and rave and make fun of people like they do. Do these same people allow their children to talk about and make fun of people? I would hope NOT!! Such good, moral examples they are.

I'd like to see Palin run, but I think 2012 is a little early for her. She still quite young and I'd like to see some more experience . . . just so we, as a voting public, can see exactly how she stands/votes on issues. Maybe a house or senate run, or even sit on the President's cabinet?

I think she's sending a message that everything starts at home, from values to hard work. Even though with Bristol's teen pregnancy, her family showed that they are there to still support her. It is the parent's responsibility to teach their children values and hard work not the governments, school or anything else. It is also the parent's responsibility to be there for their children during issues like Bristol's. Remember folks it all starts in the household.
