What Do You Think of Palin's Resignation?

Outgoing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday laid the groundwork to take on a larger, national role after leaving state government, citing a "higher calling" with the aim of uniting the country along conservative lines. A day after surprising even her closest friends by announcing she would step down as Alaska governor more than a year before her term was up, the controversial hockey mom was still keeping details of her future plans under wrap.

You're young and stupid. We did the same thing under the Carter Administration. Liberals only know how to tax and spend our money. They have no fiscal discipline. Study you history.

So 'media saavy' is what it takes to be a leader -- barring all other considerations? No wonder we're all going to hell in a handbasket. She might not have the faux polish of a saavy - disingenuous politician as most of the crooks are now --- but she comes off as REAL. She doesn't come out with polished, deceptively misleading talking-points --- she has guts to go out there and speaks from th heart and off the cuff. Personally I'd rather hear the truth from someone "un-polished/un-saavy" than the bold-faced lies of the professional politicians we now have in Washington. We need to dump them all in the Potomac..

Exactly..an arcitc fox. If she didn't resign, she risks bankruptcy from defending against the bogus litigation. Democrats keep blocking her and impeding Alaskan progress. Her successor is more than capable of moving Alaskan interest along without a rabid liberal media pouncing on the governor's every move.
Being free of public office constraints, she can now attack her attackers without compromising her office.
She can play 2012 kingmaker by consolidating and delivering GOP base. Perhaps a deal with Romney for a choice cabinet spot. Thus setting herself up for a 2016/2020/2024 presidential bid with solid credentials. The beauty of the left's attempt to paint her as an idiot is that she will clandestinely undermine them. The woman is far smarter than she's given credit for. Furthermore..if these bids don't pay off...she stands to make a lot of money as a pundit and commentator..it's win/win for her.

"Intelligent" must be a very subjective word for you because nothing she has said or done beguiles anything beyond sub par intelligence.
And you seem to misinterpret criticism for fear, its an easy argument to try and make. It gets you out of having to defend your argument about how great she is, its an easy cop out statement.

Since the climate of politics is unprecedented these days I think her unprecedented resignation fits right in & as a private citizen she can raise money for conservative causes and earn money for herself & her fmaily that she (& the state of Alaska) doesn't have to WASTE on battling her attackers. As a woman the more I think about it, the more I agree with her, she is giving her State a break and allowing herself to earn enough to cover her own legal costs. If we had "you lose, you pay" laws in this country targets and victims like Sarah wouldn't have to be subject to such onslaughts. Maybe thats one of the causes she will fight for?
