Those of us that make up the moderates, finally have found our voice in Sara Palin. It is a pivotal moment for the GOP and our Republican leaders need to get behind her as our champion! If they truly had an agenda to protect the rights of women the Letteman "humor" should have outraged them and they should of immediately condemned him publicly. If they truly promot women's rights the should have spoken early often and loudly over the liberal's cheap sexualization of your character. They did not have to agree with your politics and support your presidential candidacy but they should have obeyed their mission statement and strongly and publicly condemned your sexist treatment! NOW, a bunch of women supporting liberalism, democrats and abortion. Hilary was not treated like this!
I respect your decision to resign you position and I do believe you have an higher purpose thay you were at liberty to say. I predict that you will go down in history as one of the most powerful and influential women of this century. I am excited to follow you future endeavors and I cannot help but feeling that a lot of dishonest and immoral public figures should be shaking in their boots.
Lastly, thank you for raising a son you was patriotic and courageous enough to join the military. I have an son who is a Marine reservist and their dedication and valor will keep this country free. Sarah Palin is the one BRIGHT spot in the Republican party. She has what most conservatives want in a candidate. So what if she resigned her Gov. job early, she still has more executive experience than the DODO-bird in there now. Sarah will be received well by those of us who like her and despised by those who do not like her anyway. I say if she will begin to surround herself with capable, smart, loyal people to begin preparing her for a 2012 race.....then I say you go girl, I'll vote for you.

Lets see...Sarah was governor of alaska with an 80% approval rating,She answered the call to help a struggling republicans'(?) sinking presidential run and energized a campaign.Upon seeing her popularity with average Americans(of which I am one),the Left and the media proceeded to trash her at every opportunity.She remained true to herself and her country throughout everything including McCains losing campaign.After returning to alaska she cotinued to endure ridicule at the hands of washed up comedians and baseless accusations by deeppocketted leftist.Then the attacks from her own party (mccains minions attempting to CYA) started.Other than we Americans who believe as she does and support her and her family,She owes Loyalty to no one.My hope is that Sarah will leave the GOP and start The American Party.She will be the perfect candidate to start this party and get America back into the hands of Americans Who follow and defend the Constitution.

I think she is right. The office of the governer should be one that is able to work for the people, not have to deal with attacks on a constant basis and waste time and money doing so. I believe she is having to spend so much time on the defensive for insane allegation that it is best if she steps away and works as a private citizen to help Alaska and America. Lord only knows that private citizens with agendas is what has caused her to have to do this and it is a sad day when this is the route people take to destroy a person. I for one hope that "the other side" gets it on a grander scale with the way he is running the white house. I'd take Palin over OhNoma any day. She has more guts than him!

I'm tired of hearing that stepping down as govenor was not the "conventional" thing for Sarah Palin to do. They just don't get it. Sarah Palin is NOT "conventional". She is NOT "politics as usual." She's travels her own path guided by her faith and service to others. The more "unconventional" she is the more I like her. Self-centered people just can't grasp this.

I am so tired of hearing the pundits and commentators (on Fox, too) say that it seems like Sarah could "not stand the heat". WTF?? SHE withstood the heat for months and she stood tall and didn't waiver. However, when the libs couldn't push her down, then they went after her daughter, Bristol. When Bristol tried to turn her situation into something positive and reach other young girls, they went after Willow. And when that didn't take Sarah down, they finally sunk to the depths of reprehension and went after Trig . What kind of deep, dark, soul-sickness has infected our political landscape when it becomes acceptable and justifiable to attack and mock a 1-yr. old Downs Syndrome baby???? Just read the blogger Wonkette or that pathetic Erik Sean Nelson on Huffington Post. It will make you nauseous!! And Todd Purdum's article in Vanity Fair also went after the people of Alaska and their culture. She could withstand the heat as long as the heat was directed only at HER, but when they go after her kids and her state so viciously, what else could she do? This politics of personal destruction has gone too far on both sides. No wonder we don't have any good, ethical, common sense women to run for national office after witnessing this media circus and travesty. This is very demoralizing, but that's exactly what Saul Alinsky taught the liberals to do. Demonize and demoralize and then POUNCE!!! We can't let them keep us down. I would say this is Sarah Palin's way of doing the honorable thing by saving Alaska from the constant barrage of attacks the libs are throwing at her. It shows they are afraid of her and she is not taking the bait. She is a voice for many of us and I for one am proud that she is speaking up. She truly has a way of getting her point across like no one else I've seen. I hope her family can survive the vicious people like the Huff Post , cnn and msnbc. Gov Palin did give her reasons for quiting now, but it seems the people who "didn't hear" are those who don't understand others who act for others versus for themselves. The negative comments reflect the selfishness, priorities and integrity of the "negative" person. I am of the opinion that her future contributions will have a positive affect for our Nation.
