I think the reason Gov. Palin stepped down is not only because she has had all of those law suits filed against her and it was taking up so much of her time and money, it occurred to me that I was probably not the only one who has emailed her at her office begging her to take the reigns of the Republican party and to run for President in 2012. I told her that we conservatives need her voice NOW! We are dying under the weight of this fat, oppressive government! So far nobody else is stepping up to the plate. Her office has probably gotten flooded with similar emails. Since she obviously thought that she wasn't doing the state any good because of all of the lawsuites taking up so much of her time and money, she may think that because of all of the emails, she was needed much more in the lower 48 and would probably be more productive doing that instead of being a lame duck in Alaska. Go Sarah Go! Make the Democrats shake in their boots! Unleash the Barracuda!

I couldn't agree more. If one takes the trouble to read through the transcript of her resignation speech it becomes clear that she lacks the ability to present a coherent argument without lapsing into her comfortable 'folksy' terminology. The word usage, language and logical flow is, in my opinion, equivalent to High School grade. I suppose she could spend a couple of years polishing her style, but whatever coaching she receives will not appreciably alter her lack of gray matter. She simply doesn't possess the intellect to carry through an argument in a debate and is destined to always be a dead-weight to progress.
My view is that she is being encouraged to get out into the lower 48 now so that she can be tested, fail and disappear before it really matters.

I applaud Sarah for the move that she made. She ran for Governor to serve the people of her State. Of late the established media and others have made this mandate literally impossible to carry out. She realized that by remaining in office her effectiveness would have been nullified by all of her detractors. By stepping aside she has allowed to affairs of state to carry on. After all this was her mandate, wasn't it? The Paradox is that in her resignation she has fulfilled her responsibility to her state. Sarah did not Run or Quit. She sacrificed herself for the benefit of her party and her state. Since self sacrifice is something our current leadership and the media does not and can not understand they theorize absolute nonsense about her character and political future. All I can say is that if one tenth of our elected officials had the character of Alaska's Governor the nation would be in much better condition than it is in now.
