'Red Eye' Ratings Top CNN Prime Time

MSNBC’s David Shuster became a fan of Fox News’ late-night comedy/news hybrid Red Eye just in time for its three-year anniversary.

And it’s coming at a time when the 3amET show is seeing big ratings in the A25-54 demographic – even topping CNN prime time last week.

Just like when we highlighted the show’s ratings in September 2009 (which the FNC advertising department enjoyed as well, taking out full-page ads in the New York Post and others), the ratings for last week show Red Eye beating CNN again. This time, the show had better ratings in the A25-54 demographic than Campbell Brown at 8pmET and Larry King at 9pmET, and tied Anderson Cooper at 10pmET (Monday-Thursday).

The news media should get out of Obama's pocket and become journalists and not Obama cheerleaders. This is why CNN and the other's ratings have fallen. Americans depend on news reporters to hold politicians and administrations accountable. Their job is to dig for the truth, expose corruption, investigate and scrutinize their policies, agendas, and people they appoint to office.
Stop attacking and smearing Americans concerned over Obama’s socialist policies, excessive spending, misspent stimulus money, bailouts, nationalizing businesses, back room deals, closed door meetings, health reform lies, job’s saved or created lies, tripled 2009 budget deficit from $455 billion to $1.4 trillion, record $3.6 trillion 2010 budget and record $3.8 trillion 2011 budget.

OMG, you are so right. The LSM is trying to push its own agenda so hard that they lost sight of their true purpose and self-imposed responsibility. The NEWS can be slanted only so far without reaching the dire consequences of the news media defeating its own purpose and thus interjecting its own bias. The LSM has reached that point; and is now in a fight for its life, literally. Who wants to hear a politician being defended with media bias under the guise of news reporting?
