Political Correctness Played Role in Ft. Hood Shooting
FORT HOOD, Texas — There was the classroom presentation that justified suicide bombings. Comments to colleagues about a climate of persecution faced by Muslims in the military. Conversations with a mosque leader that became incoherent.
As a student, some who knew Nidal Malik Hasan said they saw clear signs the young Army psychiatrist — who authorities say went on a shooting spree at Fort Hood that left 13 dead and 29 others wounded — had no place in the military. After arriving at Fort Hood, he was conflicted about what to tell fellow Muslim soldiers about the fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, alarming an Islamic community leader from whom he sought counsel.
"I told him, ‘There’s something wrong with you,’ " Osman Danquah, co-founder of the Islamic Community of Greater Killeen, said on Saturday.

the irony here is that being pc is used by everyone including the majority... it protects against discrimination and even christian discrimination... being pc had nothing to do with this... i'm waiting for the investigation to conclude so we can find out how much did the army know about this guy and his slipping into insanity.. there are some saying he went insane and others saying he was a terrorist... right now, people want to know what happened and i seriously doubt being pc had anything to do with this... so far everyone has agreed that this guy showed signs of being off and the fact that he was giving stuff away to neighbors indicates other things.. im thinking someone dropped the ball

I can tell you exactly why political correctness is in the military. Recruits. Our army relies on Americans being willing to go to war, it is a volunteer army. With this in mind it becomes clear that inorder to maintain the numbers of recruits, the military must maintain a good public image or they risk loosing people. Muslims are very valuable in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as translators, or as infantry. They are culturally similar, and when trying to entice a nation of people to help us fight off the terrorist organizations, it helps to have someone they will listen to. The military needs muslims for many of these tasks, but there is conflict of interest that often gets in the way.

it is obvious that culture of Islam cannot be seperated from the religion of islam and that neither are compatible with swearing allegience to upholding the constitution of the US therefore all followers of Islam should be banned from the US military
