Hollywood Comes To The White House For Dinner

If tradition stands, the details of the guest list will be revealed only a few hours before the Obama administration's first state dinner tomorrow. The welcome for India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be the biggest social event of the Obama White House. Already the Washington DC press corp is buzzing about the "got-to-be-there" fever. But this first dinner is primarily a thank you to the Obamas' most important political supporters. So I've learned that, among the Hollywood contingent asked to attend, are onetime DreamWorks partners David Geffen, Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg; Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman Michael Lynton; and WME Entertainment Agency co-CEO Ari Emanuel.

I am so angry at this WH, did they really have to erect this huge tent and have this grandiose event when American families are loosing their jobs at an all time high rate and national debt is at a all time high. These guys are so insulting to american people I am disgusted by their arrogance.

Where are the John Wayne's, Jimmy Stewart's, Robert Taylor's and Walt Disney's ? They were America loving Americans. Wouldn't hob-nob with socialists/maxists crowd in DC. And in Hollywood either.

Dinner at the White House implies dinner IN the White House.which seats very ,amy comfortably. From the looks of the tent being set up on the White House lawn , probably also with portable heaters since it can be cold there, how many of such an overflow crowd were invited ? Start a new trend & have each submit their credit card...why not, since they ignore proper protocol all the time anyway ?? Embarassment compounded eternally !

I am just aphauled this event is so huge considering the highest unemployment in years and national debt out of this world. many people wont be able to have christmas dinner. This is so inapropriate on so many levels. American families are really suffering now.

Like attracts like, they are all scripted, no wonder they love each other. They have proved that they can all read a script better than any others. The Hollywood crowd forgets the hand that feeds them, which is the people of America. Once Obama finishes off the people, he'll have no further use for Hollywood. The people won't be able to support the movie stars, therefore, they will suffer as well, and Obama won't remember them. Obama is using these people as his tools for destroying the country. These people are too stupid to know when they're being used. Their charms may blend well together, although only one as a purpose. Hollywood's finest never did have much for brains.

I just really believe this in not the time to hold a extravagant dinner. Hundreds of Americans are not able to afford Christmas dinner, unemployment is over ten percent and rising, small buisnesses are forced out and more with new capand tax and health tax. national debt is out of this world the highest in history, two wars men and women loosing their lives daily, so many serious issues. This WH is so out of touch with the serious times we are in. Holding such an extravagant dinner is completely insensitive to American people. This is not the time for spending thousands of our tax dollars. our economy is collapsing. I am very outraged about this huge event at this time. American families are very concerned about the lack of jobs and how to pay their bills this is so insensitive.

Why not thats all he's been doing for the last year is acting (poorly I might add). It's just another bulls**t pool of under acheivers and ovespending idiots. Obama hasn't had a descent idea in in his life everyone else continues to pull his strings , Hollywood hasn't had an original idea in at least 20+ yrs all they know is remakes of old movies and there so sorry so they really need each other. I'm sure they smile , shake hands and tell each other what a graet job their doing , when in fact neither have a CLUE.
