Paying Respects or Photo-op?

White House senior adviser David Axelrod shot back on Sunday to scathing criticism by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh. "It is a surreal day when you are getting lectures on humility by Rush Limbaugh," Axelrod said on CBS's "Face The Nation."

"He is an entertainer. The president has to run the country."Limbaugh called Obama "immature, inexperienced," "narcissistic," and "a child," on "Fox News Sunday."He also accused President Barack Obama of "destroying" the economy, pursuing an "unconstitutional" health care reform plan, and "not caring" about the war in Afghanistan, in the Fox interview."It's no surprise that Rush Limbaugh espouses the views that he espouses," said Axelrod. "He's marketing the outrageous and he does very well with it." Read more here.

B Hussein plants children in "town halls" to ask questions. He issues lab coats to "doctors" for photo ops. Of course this was only a photo op for B Hussein. Bush and Cheney conducted this proceeding with no cameras or press present to observe the solemnity and seriousness of the event. B Hussein on the other hand needs to show he's "for the troops" in Afghanistan. This was planned and it stinks of Axelrod.

First, I do think it was a photo-op. He is always fixiated on his image. That is how he decides on his actions. As for Axelrod, he is taking the habit that Obama does. He is changing strategy to make his point. I might add that this habit makes the person doing it look disingenuous, IMHO.

It's disgusting that FOX news would even bring this up, but it's not surprising since they advocate the ideas of Rush, who is himself a draft dodger. Of course FOX and Rush would criticize the president for participating in a solemn duty. As a military wife (and military daughter), I've had the discussion with my husband of whether or not to have press if he should perish on deployment (it's not a great thing to talk about, but it must be done). He decided to give permission because Americans are still too disconnected from this war. The president would have been there to show respect no matter if all the families had said no to press. Then there wouldn't be any controversy. You should all be ashamed.
