Neo-Pagans Get Prayer Circle at Air Force Academy
Witches, Druids and pagans rejoice! The Air Force Academy in Colorado is about to recognize its first Wiccan prayer circle, a Stonehenge on the Rockies that will serve as an outdoor place of worship for the academy's neo-pagans.
Wiccan cadets and officers on the Colorado Springs base have been convening for over a decade, but the school will officially dedicate a newly built circle of stones on about March 10, putting the outdoor sanctuary on an equal footing with the Protestant, Catholic, Jewish and Buddhist chapels on the base.
"When I first arrived here, Earth-centered cadets didn't have anywhere to call home," said Sgt. Robert Longcrier, the lay leader of the neo-pagan groups on base.
"Now, they meet every Monday night, they get to go on retreats, and they have a stone circle."

The only thing re: New Earth in the Bible is when earth as it is ends, and no church or organization is forcing anyone to give money, it's choice.
Have you heard of the book "The Case For Christ"? Written by a journalist, Lee Stroble who started out to disprove the Bible but instead comes up with Evidence through Historical, Scientific, Psychiatric, fingerprint evidence and other evidence from interviews with dozens of top scholars. He was a spiritual skeptic until 1981 but is now a Pastor.
I'm not criticizing you for your beliefs but I am defending what I do Know and Believe. Thanks for debating with me anyway.

Not a bad book you mentioned, it was a very good summary of evangelical apologetics, but with the exception of a few deflected straw-man arguments, lacked any serious critical analysis of them. Interviews with some people with counter-apologetic backgrounds would have rounded it out nice. As far as going from skeptic-to-pastor, there also several noted pastor-turned-atheists out there as well. Its been fun ...

I am very familar with the websites of the Institute for Creation Research and similar sites, such as the Discovery Institute, etc. I have visited these sites numerous times in the past year or so - for a good laugh. Look, I really respect Archaeologists, etc that try to align events in the bible with the historic record and archaeological sites and I have nothing against legitimate challenges to scientific theories (thats what science is all about). But the stuff done by these groups is just pure quackery from the get go. They are just out there trying to give creadence to the long debunked new-earth creationism and bilk money from the "true believers" in the process.

A good example of scientific quackery is this article on they post about "Slime Networks Are Better Organized than Railway Systems". (http://www.icr.org/article/5167/) Ninety percent of this article is legit science taken from Science magazine. The last paragraph and a half is their critique. They acuse the scientists of speculation on the evolution of a trait (when evolution is the central underpinning of the entire field of Biology) and then they themselves leap to a conclusion themselves that this trait was "Created". The scientists behind the Science article will go on to further study this trait to learn more of its nature and its practical uses, but the Creationists have already reached their conclusion and will learn absolutely nothing more from it.

Yes, there have been some fraudsters in the fossil hunting game, but they are discovered eventually. The truth is that there are plenty of legitimate hominid fossils dating back over 4 million years. And for a 150 theory with just one tenant, evolution through natural selection, (not sure what other tennants your refering too). And the evidence of evolution is pretty significant, was good to begin with and has continued to grow by leaps and bounds.
