I do not intend to offend anyone only empower us but it is not anyone else's fault that our schools are in the shape that they are in but ours. The point is if we sit back, blame others, play the victim and complain then we are powerless. If we choose to become involved with our children's education, their schools, and their friends then we can help shape the future. The Founding Fathers were very careful to warn us so WE allowed this to happen. I am currently doing a study with my children on the revolutionary war period and would highly recommend you look into the material of historian David Barton. His Web site is www.wallbuilders.com. I recommend the DVD America's Godly Heritage for less that $10.00. No one can deny that in 1962 when the so called constitutional separation of church and state was invented that our schools went down the toilet. You don’t have to be a Christian to care about our educational institution. I would encourage even atheists and secularist too, with an open mind see this information.

I was recently listening to a book called: The World is Flat. The author tries to show that the scientific dumbing down of our kids is the fault of the Bush administration. Sadly, he'd never heard of the NEA and its ilk, which is more interested in teaching such political correctness (PC) and such rather than pure academic truth. Efforts to change words and teach PC is destroying the next generation and will greatly inpair us in the world arena.
Y'all better get out there and take back your neighborhoods starting with the local school boards...we can call it conservative incrementalism.

There are publishers who aren't on this word banning bandwagon. Use them and let the other ones find out we're not interested and they can either tell history as it was or otherwise shut their doors! If people don't buy, they won't be able to indoctrinate. It's up to us, people!

Get your children OUT of the public schools. Live in a tent if you have to! I am not rich, but applied to the best schools in the Northeast. They have the most scholarship money and like diversity! All of my children are doing well and are responsible adults. Now I help my 5 grandchildren to get private educations.

Kix, I know you have been asked a few times, but we really need to know the facts. So, where is your evidence to what you stated that Fox censors. I really want to know what the facts are. Also, your statement really has not point. It is a big leap from censoring a private website / blog and widespread banning and censorship in education.

Textbooks have been skewed to the left since before my kids were in school ... it's only going to get worse. "Raise up a child in the way that he.." (sorry, I'm sure it means SHE, too..) "..should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." A scriptural imperative, and promise. The STATE wants our children. If we're going to save them from the inevitable indoctrination, we have to start young and NEVER STOP teaching them the truth.
