The 'Tea parties' are nice to see, they make us feel like we're doing something, but we're not. They're looked at from the media perspective as 'a bunch of right wing kooks' getting toghether for a protest. The locations for these are part of the problem. They have to be held at our Senators & Representatives offices and homes..and the White house door step... A bunch of people getting together in their local central park isn't having the desired effect.

I attended one for the first time on Independence Day. The Government is way out of control. We need them to slow down the spending spree, and to have them abide by the Constitution again.

I am glad you are wise enough to know there would be a string attached if you accept any of the TARP money. After all, our Government blackmailed the banks that had in the first place.

The tea is brewing in California. Our state is bankrupt because of a democratic controlled state legislature. WE spent more then we had and now we are paying for it. The democratic solution is to raise taxes. We already pay the higest state taxes in the country. Our sales taxes are at 9;25% and people are leaving the state. You know what they say, "California leads the nation". STOP THE CRAZY SPENDING NOW. jOIN A TEA PARTY NOW!!

So HD INDEPENDENT you can't survive on a Wal-Mart salary. Therefore, they are socialist. I worked at Wal-Mart while I went to college some how I did not starve to death. My son worked at Wal-Mart while he went to college and I talked to him last week and he was still alive. My sister n law works at Wal-Mart part time she appears to be alive. Large amounts of employees of Wal-Mart are those where it is a second income for a family or people working there thru school etc... , Wal-Mart for the most part is pretty accommodating with these people to place them in these work schedules to hire these people. Life is about choices it is not Wal-Marts or the Governments responsibility to ensure a person working full time a Wal-Mart can support a family. And the last time I checked Wal-Mart is not raising my taxes or wasting my tax dollars. My government is doing that. My problem with Wally world is its impact on small town America Ma and Pap stores. Your point is literally in left field.

HD Independent

Again you are talking about it as a SECOND income. My point exactly! But there are many others who work there that it is not their second income. IT IS NOT WAL-MART'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEIR EMPLOYEES FAMILIES CAN SURVIVE? If they are making 10 billion in profits each year that employees help create, then who's responsibility is it? They could at least pay enough for one individual employee to survive. I bet you had no help during your time there. Parents supply you with a car, anything else maybe?

You wish to know one of the largest wastes of tax dollars in this country? Illegal immgration. Legal sane controlled is great, illegal immigration costs trillions. One houston hospital in one year only five years ago spent over 70 Million dollars on anchor baby births of mexican nationals. That's your tax dollars and that is just ONE hospital, that spending while going after impoverished US citizens who did not have enough insurance to have their babies.......plus the Mexican nationals got free diapers and car seats and such too, no US citizen babies in the same hospital, look it up on Snopes. Bottom line southwest states spend billions on crime, prisons, schools for illegal immigrants and billions of your tax dollars fly overseas to nations that hate our guts. When times are tough spend on US citizens. Same with liberal companies like Microsoft. Bill Gates hires foreigners instead of training US workers by the thousands? Why? Bottom line is its cheaper for him. He does not have to pay as much. So complaining about Walmart is rediculous complain about Microsft.............Why shoud walmart pay top wages to a shelf stocker? I do think Microsft should pay top wage to someone working in a clean room who has technical expertise though instead of importing them with worker visas so they bring their entire clan over while not training US workers............Warren Buffet just gave them a year or so ago Gates foundation bill and milinda like 30 billion dollars or something? How much of that could have gone into technical training for US workers........

No, complain about the idiots who continue to allow foreign countries with no human rights protections for their work force to be able to import goods and services into this country. That is the entire reason why it's cheaper to import and outsource. The multinational corporation has simply subverted all of the unionization and human rights initiatives in this country by going overseas and our politicians just keep turning a blind eye to it. that is the problem. As long as we allow the Gates and Waltons of the world the mechanisms to do this they will continue to exploit them.

It would also be nice if we did not have a government, through exessive taxation and oppressive regulations, did not force companies to move their operations overseas. There are always two sides to a coin, Ivo. As long as you keep looking at what the state run media tells you, and not at the Constitution and the Founding of this nation, you will never have all the facts in which to reason the truth for yourself.

They make a profit expand and employ thousands more while not kissing union butt. Unions gave us AMC Motors and now billions in bailouts for GM and FORD (Let liberals buy em I support America I buy foriegn they run better and don't spend union dues employing Nancy Pelosi and her ilk!)
Walmart hell, even liberals and unon members buy there, they sell good products employ decent people and are inexpensive and convient. Walmart is as American as apple pie and those complaining about it are liberals and commies.

Many conservatives are so hypocritical. While government is a problem, the even bigger problem is most large corporations. A more symbolic protest would be for the TEA parties to protest at a Wal-Mart in every town. That is where a lot of tax dollars are going. One individual employee with no kids cannot survive on Wal-Mart's wages, yet they claim to be such a family oriented company. So while Wal-Mart pockets 10 billion in profits each year, the taxpayers help their employees survive through social programs, or "Socialism". I thought Wal-Mart was a conservative company and against social programs. I guess it just depends on how it effects the bottom line. Would it be more capitalistic for shoppers to pay a few cents more for every item, or to have money taken out of their paychecks for social programs? If you disagree with me on being able to survive financially on Wal-Mart's wages then DO THE MATH! Prime example of how the "Trickle-Down Theory" doesn't work!

They won't be able to ignore us then! AMERICANS UNITE! We owe it to our children, grandchildren and all the men and women who paid the ultimate price for our FREEDOMS and RIGHTS!
